After a frustrating morning of missed opportunities I moved out to deeper water and was able to land a few rainbow trout. My favorite part is that they were caught on a hair jig that I tied myself! Shout out to Aaron Weibe for the idea. Thanks for watching! All of the fish in this video were caught on Della Bay ice rods available on our website:

I already own the Battle II combo enjoyable.fishing recommend and decided to try a Fierce II combo to carry out to the pier. Works great and for the money they are hard to beat.
Music gets way to loud compared to you talking
Great video.Would you say white is the best color?
I'm just browsing by, Iove your jacket.
Nice video man appreciate the hand tied, same over here. I just did my first video on ice rainbows, my first time catching them. I found that even with my humminbird open water unit that I use also for ice (with a super wide angle ducer) I still struggled to mark them when they were engaged with me, they tended to stay out of the cone angle and I reqally started catching them once I learned to ignore the screen sometimes, when you know they are engaged. Once I started to use my mind to visualize what my sonar couldnt show, I started to really get em blindly with very eradic up and down. Working them slowly allowed them to stay on the sonar, but they were slow and wouldnt cooperate. Getting rough on them would really fire them up but then they were zig zagging all over and barely showing on the screen. Just my newbie insights lol
Twin lakes? If not you should check out the Flathead Valley/Mission Valley for fishing if you’re new to MT

Is Della Bay a place or a Product?

Nice fish ty for the video I have a huge old gravel pit that is stocked with trout. But I have never fished for trout,I'll have to try this year
I've caught a good few rainbow trout in my day but not yet through the ice.
Here in prince george BC you would lose all your gear and walk away with a 250.oo fine for having a second line in the water
Don't look like rainbow to me.
Has anyone told you that you look like les stroud

Are you sure those aren’t landlocked king salmon the gums are black and I don’t really see the bright lateral line that rainbow trout have
Trout are the Best!!!!!
Great vid
Quite the hat
Nice video. Just curious do you have a video of your top 5 rainbow lures through the ice? If you don't could you name them off? I've just about give up rainbow fishing up here In Maine due to never catching one through the ice.
👍👍 what kind were u using?
You should only fish for trout if your gonna keep all you catch , despite what people think they don't do well will catch and release , especially when they roll in the snow , they lose slime and are at risk
those were so butifal trout
Love your videos a customer of mine turned me on to your videos there great and informational. You want to go out Crappie fishing sometime, I night fish them on a Lake. I'm whiptail Shanty.
are you from maine?
Nice video. What was that set up to hold that rod? Looked orange with like a spiral spring or something. Those Rainbows were good eating size. I fish the great lakes in summer & we can get rainbows over 10-15 lbs. We call them steelheads or if on Canadian waters call them bows on the great lakes.
Hi I'm an outdoorsie person and also drive a gas guzzling piece of shit. yay nature >.> dumb city goofs man. Take care of nature if you want to enjoy it. My car gets me to any lake I wish to ice fish, if not a short hike.
Great video!
If you are looking for a big rainbow trout, go try Pishkun over by Choteau! Caught a 30 inch rainbow out of there this last winter. Also good for pike and perch
