Wow, I've only had one über-pucker inducing incident on that scale, and I'll give the nod to you that I think yours was in a worse jam than mine. To this day, everything still tastes like it's been lightly seasoned by seat cover…
You are fortunate to have had things go bad in such excellent and capable company! 👍
great team work! at least now you will be able to have a real 4×4… 😝😍😍
damn… glad you're ok.
What exactly happened? You didn’t describe it.
Damn, you gonna down size your trial rig?
all idiots—funny as hell–"it happens all the time" the air pressure is to low on that ram–he is on gravel road–lol
Oh no. Not the rebel. So glad you made it out unscratched. Trucks can always be fixed.
Condor xl roof nest tent. I sleep with my wife 2 kids 7 and 4 and a 50lb dog perfect for your family I’d say. Al
Solid group 👊🏽
How freaking fast was you guys going? 😳
Glad you made it out safely Ed! What type of bumper-tire carrier combo is on your Ram? It's a nice tire carrier with the cans.
This recovery would have been so much worse in a 2022 tundra .
Did you have offroad insurance, or was it covered since it was still on an official road?
2 trucks in the same year. What are you buying next ?
Again
Glad your safe!
As a Aussie wheeler, you guys did a great job at the recovery well done 👏
Now that's 4wd action.
A close call indeed…the Awesome Teamwork made for nail-biting viewing… Glad all is well 👍🏻
Glad you're ok, man! The truck looks good for what it went through. Great video!
you got some rough luck….
Bro, your buddies were awesome. Glad youre ok! That dog though (panther), was chill as fak..🤣
Very sorry Ed, glad you are ok…could have been worse. Amazing team work, skill sets and to your point, quality recovery gear.
Woah! What next? First the tundra… maybe a 2023 chevy silverado zr2..😁
Oh my gosh this gives me flashback heart attack. So glad the experienced team got you out and still enjoyed a night camp. Bit of a mandatory breather to give the Jeep full attention. Take care mate.
Thankful the good Lord watched over you!
If i were you my heart will be breaking haha think better way more good action will come to your future over-landing glad no one get hurt and injured stay safe!
Good recovery. It’s a weird feeling when you feel your rig lose traction on what is seemingly a stable trail.
Edward you make me worry when l see what happens, but you’re ok. Try medium size 4×4 could surprise you specially in the bush where some trails very narrow or overgrown. Greetings from Australia.
How many overlanders does it take to recover a Ram? Jokes aside that’s one reason a keep a bug out bag in reach at all times when alone.
There was a recall on some of the earlier trucks for a inadequately torqued ground for the electrical steering rack. Your truck may be one of the affected trucks. I’ve had two 2019 Ram 1500s, unfortunately wrecked the first one. Absolutely awesome trucks! I’ve had three other Rams with almost no issues whatsoever. Broken exhaust bolts was my only issue over 600k miles driven in Rams.
Awesome video. My best trips have been when shit hits the fan. Something about planning, teamwork, and getting done right. I had a 2016 f150 break the ice on a frozen river. Tires were not touching the ground due to the ice under the bumpers. One of my buddies climbed out the window and went ham on the ice with an AK. It took a while but once the truck sank to touch the floor we rammed though the rest of it. A lot of back and forth. Our feet were cold from water rushing in. Next was a jeep liberty that figured speed was the way. He lost a fender. Then was a wrangler that did it no problem but the trailer it was pulling disconnected half on ice the other in the water. We ended winching it up to river bank. Some great memories. If you never have wrecked… . You never pushed yourself hard enough. Rip 93 s10 on 38.5x 16 r15 with ford one tons.
Glad you are safe Edward. The trucks damage doesn't look too bad.
Bruh!!! That sucks but couldve been so much worse. Proof you need to be prepared, equipped and have friends with you!
Should have used a snatch/pulley block to do the side pull instead of pulling across the chassis and bar work like that. Also agree with all the other comments regarding the winch ropes without blankets and stepping over them regardless of them being synthetic or not. With the way some of those pulls were, those rope could have broken in the middle and still flicked up into someone.
So glad that you had people to help you out what a great recovery team you had great job to you all
glad to see you made it out safe and happy to see shadow can take a little bit of a beating and get back up and keep on overlanding!
