Fix your enchanted fishing poles people, with unechanted ones or one with good spells already
In bedrock I’ve never used up the durability of a regular rod before getting an enchanted one.
I once fished up a fully stacked rod right after i made my first rod. Couldn’t believe it. Also couldn’t reproduce it.
Sadly Mojang changed the Fishing mechanic to require 5x5x2 of Water Sources instead of just that 1x1x1 from 1.16 and before.
Man, I miss them Fishing Farms xDD
Ohhhh, "bobber". I kept wondering what the hell a "bawbuhh" was.
You can catch fish in flowing water. I do it in my afk machine all the time. The trick is you have to keep the hook in the same block, which can be done by waterlogging slabs.
People kinda downplay fishing, when it's probably one of the most op things and I choose fishing over any other xp farm. It's definately slower to get going but once you fish up a bunch of enchanted rods and put them together for a decked out fishing rod it really picks up exponentially, get a grind stone and a fisherman villager and you have a very solid xp farm, I can reach level 30 within about an hour, slower yes but to counter balance that you get tons of food, even junk items are nice, saddles, and unlimited enchanting books, I have about 2 chest full just from fishing and you have a chance for the rarer enchantment such as mending frost walker channeling and silk touch. Hands down the most versatile farm in the game and you can access it day 1 of your world, it's just based on rng and not everyone likes that or just sitting doing that and I get it but seriously… fishing is the most op thing you can do early game and probably safest
Not sure about Java but In bedrock I’ve found fishing so op
Raids is another way to get saddles
Note when combining tools change the name first this will make the cost of all enchanted items go lower example when combining the 2 fishing rods to increase the enchantments rename both cost is 1xp when combining it could cost you 4xp at max enchantments instead of 29 lvls
Great voice and pace. Seems like a lot of YouTubers just talk a lot and fast for filler
I've got mending thru an enchanting table is a very low rate maybe 0.01% LOL but it was possible before maybe one of the updates stopped that tho idk
When you get books from fishing, they are 30 levels books , it's hard to get 30lev book from library, cause it takes so long to get that XP, so Fishing I think it's the best way to get Great Books
@1:30, i like having mending on my rod, basically it repairs to full as i fish. so i never loose durability.
Gotta confess something. Your voice is soooo soothing!
I usually fall asleep while watching your videos! Don't mean this in a bad way at all, it's just that the videos are so calm and relaxing! Plus, I think my brain relates your voice with sleepy time, when I was in college (like a year ago, maybe 2?) I used to watch the first season as soon as I got home, back when you used to upload daily, and I'd always fall asleep haha I had to re watch the video later but yeah!
In my experience, fishing in deep water near a trident guy (I don't know what he's called) where fish are visible you have the best catch/treasure chance. I don't know if it's part of the game but it works for me
Thank you for the great episode. I do have a question though, does it being night effect fishing rates? and if it is raining at night, would that change the rates of catching even more?
Okay, so if you go to minute 17:50 and he goes "we should see", skip forward 10 seconds, he say it again, skip forward for the 2nd time 10 second and he say it again, 3rd time 10 ten seconds he say it again
👍
My first venture into fishing (in 1.18) was quite lucky, it seems. In less than an hour of fishing, I had a luck 3, unbreaking 3, lure 3 and mending fishing rod, and just for show, I got another one with all of the above plus curse of vanishing.
I got an elytra once
When I updated to 1.18 I decided to start a new world and was spawned on an island so I made a fishing rod to stack up some food. Not long after, I pulled out a rod with Unbreaking 3, Luck of the Sea 3, Lure 3, and Mending. The only problem was that it had the Curse of Vanishing. My way around this was to build a fishing hut to store my rod in while I went out and ventured into the world. Since then I have pulled out so many enchanted rods that I was able to combine enough to make a rod with the same enchantments minus the Curse of Vanishing. Now I'm working on getting as many Mending books as I can but I am catching less and less books. Is it possible to "over-fish" an area? Like if you stay fishing in the same area for too long, does your odds of getting treasure decrease?
Pix: "In the meantime I'm also going to grab a barrel with me, that seems like the appropriate block for a fisherman"
Me: thinking for the rest of the day if that was intentional or not
think i know everything about fishing already – guess again – thanks Pix
A minor correction: "Luck of the Sea" does not lower the overall catch rate when fishing, it only lowers the chance of getting fish/junk while increasing the chance of getting treasure items.
So applying "Luring" to a fishingrod with "Luck of the Sea" will increase the overall catch rate and not balance it.
Now I'm legit excited to fish!
You can fish in flowing water, i fish in my iron golem farm all the time while I’m hangin out near it letting it do it’s thing.

I fished in a small hole near y 0. I got tresures and name tags but barely any food that i wanted
Made me build a staircase after finding a giant iron ore vein
Can anyone tell me why my Minecraft Android lags if i break a block in 2 seconds that block will get restored and if i hit a mob it will knock bock in slow-motion i dunno WTH is this can anyone tell me how to fixit?
They really nuked the afk fishing game didn't they? I don't remember when they added the extra rules for size and covered top but wow.
I’ve used up a full fishing rod durability and gotten no treasure 🙁 (i was hoping for nametags to use for my pets)
