Making wiggle tails for fishing lures or fly tying

Wiggle tails are one of the best things I have ever shoved on a jerk bait, but i normally use soft plastic grubs and these can be a bit of pain in the rear, with treble hooks. So i thought i would try adding wiggle tail that is normally used for pike fly tying, only i couldn’t get any quickly or cheaply so I decided to have go myself with some .6mm latex sheet, this is the kind of material resistance bands are made of, another great alternative is swimming caps or silicone sheets sold for baking. To make the cutting easier I used some 50mm masking tape on both sides of the latex, this stops it stretching while cutting. To hold it on the treble I stuck one of the hooks through , this not that critical and if the material you have rips easy i would not bother. Then i added some shrink tube and drop of super glue.

This is very small 90mm homemade lure and the thinness of the wiggle tails only slowed the bait slightly but it kept its walk the dog action

Solo le cambiaría el anzuelo triple por uno común..para que sea un poco más deportivo

Or just take the curl part of a soft bait worm or lizard and add to it……
