Great looking truck. Love your videos and outlook on things in general. I have a 1947 fordoor monarch 32000 miles enjoy every mile I put on it. Unfortunately here in Canada can't drive it in winter.
As you are an artist, maybe you should call the truck "Art".
Duv, after seeing you build videos, the cost of this project truck never crossed my mind. Maybe it's empty? Don't know until my wife tells me!!
But, like we see in the old western movies, you have to break the window before shooting, in the desert you're canteen is empty, you have to throw it away.
What a fun little ride and great head turner. People will forever say "I know is a 195$&@ what?" As a period from the 90's, at large intersections of cars, they all looked the same and had no character or features as one looked like the next. You stand out! At 3X's, it is about a dollar per pound if weighed, maybe!
But, the un-written rule is, it is called a she! Not just a name, but when telling folks about it, you always say "She" was made from this, or "She" gets great mileage, or ???
So, call it a girls name; Lisa. Or give it; Georgia. Dianna is a lovely name but after all, it your fingers that got dirty, cut, bled, and created!
I have clue what others said or asked! But I own a black lab that was born with one eye. I raised him as everyone was, well spooked! I called him Skippy! A boy, a girl, either…but I guess a Nick-Name. It fit the way he ran, caught a ball, and navigated the world. A happy soul and what ever you decide, your South African Rat Rod truck, is a happy soul. A lovely soul!
That my 2 cents or 278 rand. Peace! DK, Big O
👍🏻🍺 I think you would be hard-pressed to even buy the shell of a truck for $1200 here in the states
Inspiring!
Thanks for sharing with us about how much it costed you. It's looks great to
Another great video 👍👍
Love the truck. Watched the build since the start. great job man
My friend Pat Hughes rolled his New 1976 Chevy Square Body C10 4X4 back in the day and had it towed to his home. Rather than repair it, the Ins Co wrote it off. After receiving his claim money, less the salvage cost of the Chevy, he fitted a 1962 GMC Cab, Front Clip and Box to the '76 chassis. The build process was much like yours. Rat Rods were not a thing back then. The end product was a solid and reliable daily driver he used for twenty years. Pat's first build in high school was a V W dune buggy with a plywood body that mimicked the VW Thing. Watching your build reminded me of Pat. Thanks for sharing your time and resources 👍
.

Great job Diff. Could not have said it any better than that that's a really cheap build, 💪👍👌
I like your videos
G'day Div.! you forgot to mention the mixing bowl (poverty caps) into the equation, they blew the budget sky high..!! 🤣🤣a lot of blood, sweat, and beers in that build Div. And i reckon it looks shit hot..!! Can't wait to see what you do with the wife's Bedford truck. It would have had a tray body on it originally, but somewhere along the line, someone got creative..?? Regards from Perth, Western Australia
Great job if it makes u smile then your doing it right have loved watching your videos and think your the best
That’s a one off truck and your are a one-off man!, so much creativity. I,am some impressed with you my South African friend. Jeff
Great job Div 👍
Dang! I shouldn't have junked that one thing, now I need it.
does not matter as long as you got it the way you want it
You forgot how many hours of fun you had building it. That is cheap entertainment. love the truck!
awesome job. whats next?
Love this video. I’m not sure it could be done in the US, where I am, for the same money. But the point is very well made. And I’d much rather have the truck than the McLaren anyway 😊👍👍
I love your humbleness, it is not always about making car original but making it your own and having fun with it.
Man, this is such a cool ride. I've always leaned toward the higher end looks….but there something to be said about a working truck that looks so unique. My son and I might have to start us a rat rod soon.
At least your car comes with a life time warranty div
Thanks for the great build! You still need to fix the leaky rear tire Div! LOL!
That's a lot of bang for the buck!
Hi Div, Great Build, what's Next? P.S. ONLY LEFT HANDED PEOPLE ARE IN THERE RIGHT MIND 🙂
I call that one Turqu , kinda' short for turquoise! 👍 She's a beaut! 😁
Lots of labor and little money = awesome. Thanks dude!
Still needs the 'CHEVY' emblem for the bonnet Div..

That’s it I’m hooked! I think I wanna try and build one. It looked like you had a lot of fun finding parts & figuring out your build what a great project. Thanks for the inspiration Div.

I have enjoyed your channel and your ideas on a economic build and repurposing metal to produce a very cool rat rod. Nice job!!!!
