I love how only a few “higher ups” in states get to decide the law for millions of people. We vote these people in because of their empty promises.
The constitution should’ve added to the 10th amendment, “these laws may be altered, added, or abolished if the majority of citizens in the state petition to have said law added, abolished or altered. Upon review of the petition the senate MUST address the citizens and provide a fair compromise that will be reviewed/voted upon by the ‘higher ups’. Any & all petitions have the right to retry the law in question after any and all elections for said state”

I don't think that weed is cool, and Colorado, California, and Washington have gone completely down the tubes and are battling worse problems as a result of losing their morality. Stoned people aren't good at fighting wars, which is why the left coast has been sold under them. Cultural subversion is very real and is a threat to democracy, regardless of what I think will make me sound "cool" to others.

Weed laws dont fall under the 10th amendment. 10th amendment is any power not sanctioned by the feds is left for the state. Weed is federally illegal so the states cant overturn that thats why you can still be prosecuted for weed the feds just turn a blind eye. Yet another video with misleading information

Honestly federalism is the way to go. States being different in a lot of ways is why the country can be so diverse and adapt laws according to the regional culture.
Unfortunately MS citizens voted on initiative 65A which would legalize medical cannabis, then the MS supreme court ruled it unconstitutional later that year…
Why put it on the ballot if your just going to back out if it gets voted on

I get the 10th amendment, but we have arguably functioned as a single country, and not a 50 state union for 80+ years now. At what point do we start talking about removing some of these old safe guards that have become a hamper to progress, unity, travel, and personal freedom?
The 10th amendment is seriously a double edged sword… I hate the 10th amendment because it allows my state to be very 2nd amendment unfriendly…

In California, when you got a medical recommendation letter, one county's DA was very anti dispensaries. After he shut them down I liked to ask the young adult letter holders if they voted for or against the DA that shut the dispensaries. So many said they weren't registered to vote. I liked to give them a hard time about paying $100 for a letter but not even registering to vote when it is free!
It’s still federally illegal and you can be charged if found in possession of a firearm and weed or god forbid a registered NFA item and weed
