Confidence Baits: We all have them and we all have to fight the tendency to get stuck in a rut refusing to believe that somedays they might just want something different. I was determined to catch at least one speckled trout on a lure that I always have intentions of trying but never get around to, and now I have a new weapon in the ole’ JarFishing arsenal to show for it. I’m talking about the Paul Brown”s Fat Boy. For years I’ve seen guys, especially in Texas, catching big trout on this lure. I now understand the craze. But, just to keep them honest, I also threw my go to Rapala jerk bait and it got off to a slow start, but by the end of the day, it was back in good graces. This episode was shot in Chalmette, Louisiana in Bayou Bienvenue, a popular community hole known to hold a few big trout in the cold months. Thanks for coming along and I hope you enjoy the show.
