New Jersey’s gun restriction law was delivered a blow just this week, when a federal judge granted a temporary restraining order preventing part of the law from being enforced. State Sen. Anthony Bucco (R-Morris) says New Jersey’s law went too far, even though he doesn’t agree with every part of the lawsuit taken against it.

The bill is unconstitutional and will be going down in a flaming ash heap.
Joe Danielsen (D) – the guy who admitted that strict gun laws don’t save lives, and were never meant to.
The us Supreme Court said that the 2nd Amendment is an equal right in the bill of rights! You don’t need a permit or training or 4 references and your social media accounts reviewed by police in order to vote, speak or protest. So why do you need to be fingerprinted for $100, photographed for $15, background checks, 4 references interviews, psychological check, several training classes which cost $200 each, pay a $200 fee, qualify with each firearm you wish to carry in order to keep and bear arms???? This entire NJ Democratic Party gun scam they have legislated over these past decades and recently with this latest illegal law is unconstitutional and illegal and must be dismantled!!
Right off the bat, I don't appreciate NJ Spotlight New's misleading folk on this. To start with, the Supreme Court denial of emergency injunction was not a bad thing for firearm rights – it placed warning shots right across the 2nd Circuit's bow warning them to get in line and give an explanation for their actions post-haste or the Supreme Court
wouldstep in. It was allows to float on for now to give the 2nd time to fix itself. Read the commentary by Alito and Thomas, it's crystal clear in that regard in the typical respectful language it is written in. It also directly invited the plantiffs to resubmit if the 2nd doesn't correct itself quickly. Both states are in blatant defiance of the Supreme Court's Ruling in Heller and Bruen, and passed their unconstitutional nonsense to spite it and are being called to the mat for it in court. They can't defend their nonsense. They don't have a leg to stand on. What part of 'Shall not be infringed' do these state and folk not understand? If it didn't exist at and shortly around when the 2nd Amendment was written, it's not legal – period. NJ and NY went /well/ beyond that and further, trying to further restrict our Constitutional Rights. Illinois and Oregon and Washington are trying the same playbook and nonsense and it won't end any better for them. 8-9 states are in the wrong here.
The Supreme Court is paying very close attention to this and other 2A cases following their Bruen decision. This is readily apparent by their reference to cases that aren't even before it. NY and NJ need to get their buts in line or when the Supreme Cort's patience ends they'll do it for them.
the part where your own car is a "sensitive place" will be overturned. Basically NJ just made the whole state a "sensitive place" to circumvent the intent of the law.
What a sloppy bias video!! This video fails to mention that the Nj law bans concealed carry for those with a CCW permit in their own vehicle, every public owned building and ALL private property unless you contact the property owner and get their permission to carry on their property or signs are posted!! Yes, the Democrats went “just a little too far” with this law!! This video is so bias and garbage for not including the worst provisions of this new law and others such as mandating 4 non family references to be interviewed by police, a police interview of applicant, review of your social media, $200 fee, excessive training courses, and other excessive requirements to obtain a permit for a constitutional right!!!!
Keep AND BEAR arms. "Bear" means to carry. I'm sorry if the Dems don't like that, but my Constitutional rights are NOT up for debate.
the knee jerk unconstitutional legislation will not stand
New York in June New Jersey, or something that their nose at the Supreme Court. And their day is going to come in court.
These NJ politicians live in their own removed world. Why do we have to put up with this BS? Politicians are supposed to work for us! Be our voice! Do and change what we need for our state, not screw us! Look at the ridiculous property taxes we have to pay. Ask murphy the question about what he is doing about property tax reform and he is absent.
Someone please explain to tyrant scutari that people are not going to be waving their guns around in supermarkets and bars. How could anyone vote for a clown like that who thinks all NJ gun owners are crazy bloodthirsty cowboys who want to run around shooting their neighbors.
Why are these stories always so poorly researched? The NY law was TROd and then stayed a while ago. So NY has been able to enforce unconstitutional laws for quite some time. This is basic reporting skills. Scutari should be challenged with questions regarding “guns” next to everyone. Anyone from jersey that leaves the state will be “surrounded by guns” even Pennsylvania you are literally surrounded by guns. Don’t tell me that scares you. Cause it doesn’t.
This report tries to infer that the "Sensitive Places" list is reasonable, but they leave out the part where "EVERY" private property or public business is a sensitive place unless, get this, there is a sign posted permitting concealed carry. This is compelled speech, hence the violation of the first amendment. The issue I have is that before the "Bruen" decision, those few, exceptional, special people that were able to acquire a "permit to carry" were able to carry everywhere with very few exceptions. What changed?
You should be able to save your own life where ever you go.
Vermont is a open carry state and Vermont has alot of guns Vermont guns policy is the best in America no problem in Vermont
That is nowhere near what the Supreme Court said. The Supreme Court said that the second district court better respond quickly to their vacating of the temporary restraining order that was issued by the lower courts of New York. The Supreme Court is watching and waiting
Supreme Court New York ruling
Told the state to get it right in an amount of time, if not they will decide. They said it very politely. You know it won't hold up, the have to give historical evidence, in which they don't have, also the Bruen decision, the Supreme Court said that they could not make the all of new york a gun free zone, why doesn't the news media say the complete truth, instead of half truths.
