Not only is it one of your best money makers, especially early on, but you can find all sorts of helpful items like weapons, ore, seeds, and pretty much anything else you can think of.

I actually plan on going with the luremaster profession, cause I find trash recycling as a pretty okay source of coal and refined quartz. And the other materials are useful too

Really love fishing in stardew, Dunno why it is so hated. There is really a lot to get from fishing as you mentioned in video. For this reason I hate riverlandfarm. I wish it had some exclusive or at least rare fish that is not easily obtainable
Fishing is the best easy money you can get early game. My main source of income is honestly from fishing. Then I automate my farm with kegs.

I have been playing the same farm since I bought the game and I've never really done much with fishing, but not doing anything with it is preventing me from finishing the Community Center and progressing through the game. I'm going to have to start with the training rod to see if I can get those last couple of fish bundles…
Note: you can catch sunfish in the ocean – once
the game has a failsafe system for your first use of a fishing rod. If that first use would have caught trash then you are guaranteed to get a 50/50 between a sunfish and a sardine regardless of the season or location. (most likely this was put in place so a 1st time use only rewarding some trash would not discourage a player to try out the minigame some more)
I love fishing in Stardew, i find it relaxing and challenging at the same time, the other day I was so happy because I lasted a few days fishing and I was able to catch all the fish there is in the summer (including the octopus), because I had recently obtained the fishing channel 🙂
How is the path you choose affected on multiplayer? one can go for the angler path and the other one for the crab pot path and we will have the things of both paths? does angler buff stack?

With mariner vs luremaster, if looking at profit it depends of %chance of getting junk and you can technically get an answer of which one is better, im pretty sure that luremaster actually loses profit cause while you don't need to spend gold on bait, you can just get net 0 profit while mariner is always at least a net 15 profit
Maybe I misheard you, but in fact Midnight Carp are available at both the Mountain Lake and the Cindersap Forest Pond. You can also catch them in the Forest Farm ponds (along with the Woodskip), and of course in freshwater on Ginger Island. I love crab pots mainly for making Fish Stew, which I think is the most useful fishing buff food for most situations. It gives 3+ fishing and lasts nearly all day.
Tip: The Fishing Bar Will Not Bounce If You Press LMB Perfectly Without The Lead Bobber
It's also worth mentioning that if you complete The Strong Stuff special order for Pam, the reward is that you can now get access to the Fishing Channel F.I.B.S. that will list out the fish you can catch each season along with its location, time, and necessary weather conditions

I got the dinosaur egg from fishing on lvl 4 fishing I got pretty lucky also the I the dino egg on the beach.
I can't seem to find if you mentioned it (sorry if you did and I missed it) but treasure chests being caught actually give a 2.2 xp multiplier. Which also stacks with the 2.4 xp multiplier from a perfect catch. Also, fish quality gives extra xp (3 for silver, 6 for gold, 12 for iridium), however the "perfect catch" bonus quality doesn't give that extra xp (the quality bump from the quality bobber does tho).
Another note, you left Catfish on the Summer chart.
