The rolling chassis is DONE! it’s been a long journey since I decided to start building an ALL WHEEL DRIVE chassis for my turbo big block, and today it can roll on the ground for the very first time. We’ll finish up the suspension, do a little welding, and get the rolling chassis outside for the first time in over a month. We still have a long way to go before the truck is complete, but this is a major milestone!

Have you had good luck with forney equipment? What size is your tig?
Lt…build so far looks amazing, I love that you show the the behind the scenes difficulties that come up when building stuff, it feels so much more real world than the tv shows… keep it up. One point I’d like to make coming from the diesel world with GM front ends, those tie rod ends. GM has notoriously weak tie rod ends, you may want to consider some sleeves or going with a beefier tie rod from ppe or some other brand…. Either way keep the content coming 👍
Check out sumo springs.
JDM motor swapped single cab next
Awesome work man!!! Coming together nicely 🤙🤙
Reinforce the Mounting points for Control Arms? Not sure, if this would be the weak point, but perhaps while it's exposed.
Glad you are making progress! I would highly suggest installing a bumpstop to prevent the shock/spring from collapsing fully and the bearing binding up. Even one of the cheap Energy Suspension or Daystar ones would do great and potentially save a lot of headaches. It doesnt take jumping necessarily to bottom it out, even normal driving at a high speed if the shocks arent set stiff enough will do it.
LT do you think that atomic long travel bracket is beefy enough for everyday driving? No real racing just want the look of being lowered but also comfort
World's only? Can we stick to the facts please.
Ummm, you know this blueprint was made a long long time ago?
Nice truck.
I would love for my 90 Silverado to have a NBS suspension, coil overs and big brakes!
Def swap the body, too much work already done that would have to be done again! Ugly truck needs to STAY UGLY on the new chassis, let ugly truck continue to ZZZZZzzzzzzzzzz
Awesome job, it looks great
Glad you brought back your upper mounts. It would be fun to see the atomic fab parts on but yours are more fitting with the rest of the project. This suspension is looking sweet!
Also, your camera person is adding a good feel to the videos. It’s fun to see some different angles as you talk and do your thing. Not something I’ve really noticed watching YouTube but it stuck out here.
This so dope brother much love from upstate new York southern tier brother
Great to work with your father on projects, or anything for that matter. Especially when he can get on the torch and weld and tac things here and there!!! God bless you both.
You should always weld up hill with a mig welder. Your get better penetration.
Looking forward to a 4 wheel burnout soon!
The CV boots can grow at high speeds. I tore a cv boot on my axles installing new shocks on my C5Z06. Had a local place put new boots on the axles for me, but they weren't OEM boots. At about 140mph the boot expand and grabbed the brake line. Luckily I got it slowed down by grabbing gears and emergency brake. The brake line was wrapped around the axles like a candy cane. Be careful. Don't be like me.
You’re such a badass brother keep it up 👍🏽
I know we had a slightly rocky start right at 2 years ago due to old habits from your TV show experience but love the way your production quality has veered towards the viewer and not glorifying the cameras presence and the fact that your channel is starting to grow much quicker in the last 6 months. keep it up…would love to see you do a foxbody of some sort in the future
🔥🔥🔥
Cool build!!! don't forget to weld your perches to the axle housing…
1: always enjoy watching your videos. In a garage, shows anything is doable with our a big money shop or set up
2: I may have missed it, but any reason you didn't go with hd heim joints in the control arms for maximum adjustability?
3: the LT plates are awesome, def keep doing that on future work
Keep the up the awesome work
Okay well just chalk it up to all the aftermarket parts and mods contributing to it being the only one like it in the world.
Well done so far! I'm digging it!
Congrats LT! Stupid question? But can I ask why not go with a shorter spring to be able to move the adjustment collar up the shock a bit? (So it would clear the CV boot) IDK maybe I couldn’t see and or I was missing something? ¯_(ツ)_/¯
