I remember seeing a video in the early 2000 of a American built truck with the same deck movements. The big difference was it had 4 pivot points down each side. Also the two sides and tailgate pivoted up as well as down. I don't remember if the tailgate swung sideways. I think that is a more modern invention.At the time I thought it was a modern take of the Railways and mining dump cars.Thank-you for showing us this idea is still alive.

Sean , we have 3 way semi tippers here in oz,, the side tipper is so good to tip and not lose space where it has to go
Nothing unusual in that truck it's a 3 way tipper most local authorities in the UK have or had one for tarmacing pavements or soiling up just put check chains on and drive slong
3-way tippers are more common here in England, presumably because everything is way smaller here so there's not always space to manoeuvre a vehicle to tip backwards. My friend has a square nose Unimog with a 3-way tipper on it. They're handy bits of kit!
