In late 1988 Losi became a worldwide force in RC racing after introducing the JRX2 1/10 scale buggy. Just two years later, a second Losi kit would make an even bigger statement and lead an even bigger surge in the popularity of RC vehicles. That kit was the 1/10 scale JRXT monster truck.
The buggy racing class became increasingly competitive in the late 1980s. Many racers wanted an easy-to-drive alternative that recaptured the fun that brought them to the hobby in the first place. They began converting their beloved JRX2 buggies into trucks using wheels, tires, and bodies from “toy” RC cars or from aftermarket conversion kits. Before long, the new truck class rivaled the popularity of the buggies!
Then, in 1990, Losi introduced its first-ever complete RC monster truck kit, the JRXT. And for everyone of that era eager to get started in the RC car and truck hobby, the JRXT immediately became the vehicle of choice.
More than any other model of its time, the 1/10 scale Losi JRXT monster truck caused a rush of new interest in RC. If your memory replays fun days from years ago spent racing RC vehicles with friends and family, chances are good that the JRXT has a starring role. Even better, you can relive those memories for real today with the new, 1/16 scale Mini JRXT.
The Losi Mini JRXT pays homage to its roots with retro styling that mimics the 1990 JRXT. It also reproduces the vintage trim scheme that was pictured on the original box art. Beyond the nostalgia, there are updates to the engineering for state-of-the-art Losi mini performance — making this the perfect mini monster truck for loyal Losi fans and for anyone who wants to try a mini RC.
It comes fully assembled and finished in a 100% ready-to-run package complete with a Spektrum 2-channel radio, LiPo battery, USB charger, and even AA transmitter batteries. With one easy purchase, you have everything you need to race and to celebrate the brand that helped build the RC racing hobby that you love today.
But only 5000 of you will be able to say you own a Mini JRXT. That’s because this is a limited edition vehicle and only 5000 have been produced. Adding to the collectability, each is serialized with its unique production number. Don’t miss out on your opportunity to own a one-of-a-kind mini version of one of the most popular vehicles in Losi history!

I just bought this, and I’m sooo excited for it. I think that the small scale rereleases are amazing, and I looove your bro and and what you do.
Oh boy I sure love artificial scarcity and fomo marketing
These retros are awesome but really don't understand why they aren't in the original scale..
Will this be available worldwide or just in the US.
I said I'd buy three if you did it, unfortunately i can't right now, and limited to 5K just makes it out of my budget forever. I really wish you all could have done it right and offered it without the limit, I always wanted a JRXT, wanted one of these, but looks like it'll never happen. I appreciate you offering it, but under limited numbers, you know the scalpers will snatch them up and double the price the first day, then we'll never see one again
Especially after I missed this time in RC as I was born in 1993 so wasn't old enough to buy to real RCs. Coolest thing I ever had/have but missing two rubbers for back tires is a RadioShack Hot Machine II hahah it was alot of fun as a kid for sure and went pretty good just the no battery pack thing needing I think like 20 AA batteries REALLY sucked!! Losi if you see this you are an amazing company from the beginning to the present you've designed and created some of the best running IMO and have only gotten better with time taking customer feedback and building the EPIC trucks you do now like the Losi DBXL/E and I LOVED my Losi 5ive-T it was a beast with only a 29cc in it! Can't wait to pick up a DBXL-E and another 5iveT but I really hope I can get one of these wicked little trucks just to have part of the history of such an AMAZING RC company! Absolutely nothing but support from this RC enthusiast and so nice to see one go back to their roots! Thank you for ALL you've done and will do for our RC community 💪🏼 Wish your company and all its employees nothing but the best! Losi for life! I actually have my 5T in my display pic on here! Wish I still had it for sure but I'll get another one this spring/summer as it's dirty ol' winter here in Canada! Thanks again for every last thing you've done to make sure you're giving us the best RCs you can!! Losi lover for life 💪🏼🤜🏼🤛🏼
🙂👍
All slow motion video?
My first hobby grade RC. I saw the Jrx2's in 1989 at a demo on a baseball diamond and knew that I was going to have one. Being 10/11 I had no money. Over the next year I saved up and did what kids back then with mowing lawns and shoveling snow to earn money. By the time I was ready to buy, I could afford only the Jrx2. By then I had seen the T and knew that the 2 was no longer my option. On Christmas day that year I got the JrxT! One of the most poignant memories of my entire life. I still get goosebumps remembering all those times.
Since then I have rebuilt 3 of the T's. I have rebuilt 3 of the 2's. I of course picked up the mini 2 as well. I just knew that Losi was going to make this happen.
Like the kid I was back then, the kid in me today got to live that moment of knowing I was going to have the mini T. I have two on order and just might scream with glee when I see this next to my box art JrxT, Jrx2, and mini Jrx2.
Thank you Losi, from someone who has been brand loyal since 1990! I can't believe that 33 years has passed!
Thoughts of Sr. fill my head. Good on him and Jr. for what they accomplished back then and now!!!
Oh, and if anyone has an original JrxT box that they want to part with please let me know!
I put in my pre order on Tower Hobbies 😁 Very excited about this release!
I still have my original jrx2
I would have been more satisfied with a tenth scale re-re, rather than this novelty.
ordered 😀
4wd mini b? Like a mini bx4
I converted my JRXT to an LXT, which I still have. Wish I had kept all the old parts to rebuild it years later, but they were pretty clapped and my interests went to quad racing for a lot of years. But a mini will be fun!
1:32 I'm not really sure what I should be doing with my hands
What % nitro fuel does this take cuz I'm not stocking up a different blend
We want 10th scale!!
Got an original JrxT, definitely got to have a wittle matching one 🙌
Junior-T was my first race kit. Would love a rerelase of the regular 1/10 size one.
Was my absolute go-to for fun back in the the late 80's. Should have made it a kit or a roller. I hate buying an RTR and tossing all the electronics. Just goes against my grain. Plus the original, like all rc cars from back then, required assembly. Most of us old timers still think it's half the fun.
That dope 🤯😎❤️
Why not in 1/10th scale, why????😢
Do you plan on doing other smaller models? Would love to see a new micro line.
VERY COOL!
Will you be re releasing other older models? The 1/36 line?
When can I buy one??
When does it release
