My Profile:

I was born and raised in Chicago, but after working 12 years in the financial Industry regulating the futures and options markets at the CME/CBOT I decided to pursue my passion fishing professional tournaments and left my full time corporate job. At that point, I moved to Junction City, WI with my wife Sara and two boys Hank and Duke. I’ve been fishing professionally since 2011 and full-time since 2015. I’ve qualified for seven MLF Championships and won over a half million in tournament winnings at the professional level.

Props to you for being professional about your separation from Dirty Jigs. Looking forward to your alternative recommendations to Dirty Jigs. Especially non-lead jigs.

Caleb Bell

Strike king fluorocarbon flipping jig and the 4k jigs dock candy 👍🏽

David Gerdes

I am a fan of the Z-Man CrossEyez football jigs

Eric Nelson

Sorry to hear this! I love the Matt Stefan Guppy head! Have you tried Randy’s Old School jig? I like the six sense Devine swim jigs.

GymcoachTS

Give the Omega jigs a try. Top notch!

TheBloodRaid

Have you ever tried the Trashmaster Jig? It is kind of a texas rigged casting jig. There is no weed guard but it is still super weedless. Super versity for both swimming and flipping

Ray Day33

Berkeley, Strike King structure jig. Most versatile jig made. Googan jigs are really good believe it or not. Boss jig heads and hand tie your skirts

Gary Dalrymple

Call it crazy but there’s a guy that does that old school jig down in Springfield. I use hand tied rubber jigs.

Len Clark

Ditto on the 6th sense HYBRID jig!!! This is a great jig!!! Good for casting, flipping, and skipping. Really and truly, you can’t go wrong with this jig!!! Swim jigs are. Dry good also!!! Listen, they have several MLF and BASS Pro’s on their pro team. You probably work a deal with them. I’ve been using them for a good long while now and I have no complaints!!!

Brian Parkerson

Keitech tungsten swim jig!!!

danham3344

I’m not sure if it’s the different sound but in dirty shallow water, that Keiteck Tungsten is far and away my biggest fish catcher. I also really like Jonny’s Jig in deeper water. Other than that I’m always trying different ones out. I have purchased a few of Randy’s to try so we’ll see.

I fish BOSS. 4 to a pack, just add a skirt. BOSS has the finesse flip and inline flip. 5/16ths finesse flip for summer and then 1/4 in-line flip for winter. And then I’ll mix the ball head jigs for rock and dock knocker for skipping. I fish from the bank so being able to get 4 in a pack helps out.

Bssin-sifu

Bass Patrol football jigs are awesome!

Scott Kessler

I would also recommend your sponsor Berkeley, has a good power bait jig.

Scott Kessler

Try the Strike King baby structure bug.

Gary Ong

LurePartsOnline Bill Lowen jig heads are great and they just switched to Gamakastu hooks. His finesse flipping jig is awesome.

Lane Hensley

I've used the strike King and Denny B. No issues. Just start make jigs under Core tackle. Good luck on the Hill, tight lines.

FishManiac93

Sounds crazy but take a strike king bitsy bug jig, put a zoom ultravibe speedcraw on the back (take the top two segments off the speedcraw and it fits the jig perfectly) and then fish it as a swim jig in light cover. It works incredibly well and gives you a more finesse swim jig option but still gets big bites (fishes well just dragged on the bottom too). Favorite colour is the candy craw bitsy bug jig paired with a green pumpkin purple flake ultravibe speedcraw.

Tossing Lures

I bought like 50 booyah boo 1/2 oz blue/blk jigs on amazon when they were $1.78 a few years back. They work great!

Julien Chaput

War eagle finesse jig. Killer in Northern waters, strong Gamakatsu hook.

John Deluca

I also use Strike King jigs. I like their football, and skipping (with nice screwlock), jigs.

Scotty Beegle

Since you like tungsten jigs, beast coast has a nice selection of colors and h3ads. 6th sense has a nice selection of lead head swim jigs.

Ronald Clark

You already have core tackle, making your own jigs will boost your brand, a legacy for your boys that know how to make your custom skirts 🎉

Eric Murphy

Check out Motley Fishing

Michael Boles

Strike King and Greenfish Tackle are my go to jig companies.

Rick Callies

Brovarney swim jigs – live rubber – terrible website, but best swim jig … Wisconsin made

Dan Roberts

I keep it pretty simple, I use a strike King structure jig for flouro and a strike King hack attack for braid. They haven't let me down yet!

Moses Miller

Hey Matt, you gotta try out the OutKast Tackle jigs they make some of the best in the business!!🎣

Michael Hanson

6th sense hybrid jig is awesome and versatile, you can flip it or swim it through anything. And the Berkeley skipping jig skips like a dream. Picasso tungsten football jig is hard to beat also.

sheepdad556

Beastcoast..just a great line of jigs

Terry Reed

DB structure jig . Skips well, swim it , pitch it! Great all around jig. Also your buddy Randy has his own jig!

Kyle Kurka

I’m a big fan of Siebert Outdoors and Mr Bs jigs. Top notch products and great folks

Heinrich Kellogg

🍺Ebare,Neil, wheeler, and Ashley. My heart wants Stefan.🤠

Dillon W

I love dobyns for full size. And a jdm company called bottom up makes a phenomenal compact that has a way better hook up ratio than the keitech jig

Tim Pulizzano

Caleb Kuphall makes the best jigs on the planet! Proof ls in the pudding. Both WI guys, hmmmm 😉

Jeffrey Reilly

I make my own out of BOSS unpainted jigs. There are two in particular that I purchase from them that are a bit different. They make a stand up football jig that is amazing and the destroyer Check them out! I also want to try the wood walker but haven’t yet.

Long Xiong

So far I’ve been liking the OutKast Tackle Stealth Feider, OutKast tackle RTX Jig,
BassTek tungsten flipping.

I’m always up for experimenting with different jigs too.

Tom Perry

There is a lot of other good jigs out there, as you mentioned Denny Bauer, Strike King and Jewel. However with the new Core Tackle company if I were you, I would probably develop my own?
