Hi Harldan! Have you tested if fishing skill effects the chance of catching tasty fish? From my experience with less than 100 skill, the catch rate was above 90% and I comfortably completed the competition at 13 minutes past the hour both times. So I'm wondering if it's a waste of time and gold to level the skill up and get the extra rods, enchants, etc.

I remember hearing that the +5 glove enchant doesn't stack with one of the other buffs like line or hat or something and that +2 on gloves does.

Was following the instructions but event was over and I fished up 35 fish. 300 skill and using chromie time. Think Highmountain Tauren makes a huge difference, since I was only on a normal tauren. Guess also bad timing now with the video is a larger competition around and others had either way more luck (first place was done after 8 minutes) or there are some other tricks to it

I wanted to add to your guide in case you didn't know, the book needed to learn 'How to Find Fish' can now be very easily fished up in any pools of the Dragon Isles, might be much faster if you didn't feel like returning to classic zones to try your luck, I got mine the first day of the xpac on maybe my 4th or 5th cast, and I've had pretty similar luck with any alt that has done basically any fishing in the new zones. 🙂 love your work, keep your feet on the ground.

Note on this if you're on OCEANIC servers, it's 2pm Pacific time as well on the US Sunday, so Monday morning about 10am for us in Australia when the world quest triggers in STV.. Thanks for the video.
