Carp fishing I put a game camera on my pile of dead carp

After catching a stack of carp in quick succession I decided to put my carp in a heap, and then put a motion activated game camera on them to see what happened to them after I left.
What happened next really shocked me…..

These useless carp. Nothing wants to eat them.

Otto Vandevelde

Robbie, you realise or course that you are doing more for immigration than the government, because all the poor Poms whose coarse fishing is a total crap, will want to come to Victoria to our outrageously large carp, just make sure the silly buggers don't throw them back as they do back home……..sad sacks!

Nikosfishos

This was an awesome video Robbie! Definitely gotta try this idea again at some stage

Deb Ramage

Thanks Robbie, liked the history too. Ps well done on getting rid of the carp.

Paul Sullivan

Carp mania robbie

Stealthey_Steak

That big one compared to the others looked MASSIVE

WHAT you see in the out doors! It just PROVES, NOTHING wants to eat dead carp!

Urban Fisho

WHAT a let down! Maybe TRY it again in some bushland. Get some carp and put the camera on a tree, see what sniffs around!

Pitbull Custom Lures

Finally managed to catch up on all your recent videos again Robbie. All were fantastic as usual. That big carp was an absolute horse! haha
Great idea with the game camera, it just needed more time. But most likely would have been stolen sadly if you did

Doug Petty

Like ‘em or not they are great fun on light lines…

We used to get 25lb carp off that wall. Needed wind to be coming over the wall and cast way out to where the slack met the rough. They would take 20min plus with 8lb line to land. Bout 1986-7 we did that. Rode out on pushbikes. Good times.

RIP asthma puffer.. ha ha

I guarantee if the camera wasn't there you'd come back next day and all the fish would be gone.

Neil Condron

Unfortunate that you had no interest in your Carp carcasses Robbie. I was surprised (the other day) to witness Wood ducks eating freshly caught small Carp. I thought they were herbivores. Have you seen this happen before?

Hey Robbie, the wife & I will be coming down your way to stay at Wangaratta van park on the 6th March , it would be nice to catch up & say “gaday “ if you’re around while we’re in town . Please let me know if you available & how to contact you. Thanks mate , always enjoy your vids . John C .

Strange nothing went for them… Better luck next time – great fishing though!

We got to appreciate how much work he puts in to each and every video

Larry's Fishing

This was a terrific idea for a video and though it didn't go as planned, maybe a spot less effected by the floods might work better? Would love to see this again. Hope you had a great weekend, cheers!

Brendan Gray

Interesting with the game camera could always try again, in different areas from time to time
