Today we hit the river with one goal. That being to fish a simple method to catch absolutely anything and everything! I fished a small cage feeder and light lines with a variety of baits to be able to make the most of every swim. Worms, maggots, groundbait and pellets were the baits of choice. I was targeting areas like gravel bars, undercut banks and slack waters to locate a number of different species. With the end goal being to catch a winter river barbel. See how I got on!
