The Yacht Models ( level 1 ) contains a solicitation of 74 models of glide, rowing and centrifugal boats in the Netherlands . navigational Instruments ( floor 2 ) is a beautifully presented exhibition showing how sailors used the stars to navigate ; The Ship Decorations ( level 2 ) highlights the symbolism and craft of carved ship heads, taking inspiration from biblical and fabulous themes . North Wing – The main gallery on the reason floor houses the Republic at Sea exhibition with some 50 masterpieces telling the story of how the Netherlands became a significant naval world power. The first floor hosts irregular exhibitions . Head outside to visit The Royal Barge, a high decorated royal vessel commissioned by King William I in the early nineteenth century. You can besides get on board and explore the replica VOC embark East Indiaman Amsterdam which has 16 cannons.
