What Amp Research power steps are those
Anyone else notice that Wes calls the obd-2 and odb-2
Would you or anyone know what these would be like in the winter, like below freezing with snow? Love the channel.
Wes please bro make a channel!!!!! We need to see more of that build! 💯
How can you run this and the peddle commander to the OBDII port?
I love WES!
im looking at a 18 l5p thinking about getting some power steps for it
i understand that you got the 1500 style but if you can move the motor or the step why cant you just move the step or motor for the 2500HD power steps back 6" to clear the wheels
What brand of rims dose Chris have ???? PLEASE
Man Wes gets to it
I bought AMP Research power steps for my brand new 2018 Ram 2500 Mega Cab and they gave me fits to install them! They Do Not Fit!
I followed the written instructions exactly to the letter. Got all done. Put power to them… And the retracted up under the truck and wedged behind the pinch welds. I worked for hours putting brackets and linkages on than taking them back off numerous times, I adjusted brackets and linkages to NO avail. The boards jammed up and got stuck under the truck every time to the point where I had to remove the motors and pried them out from under my brand new truck scratching up the AMP Research running boards. Decided to call customer service. I called and spoke with Brian Weaver. I explained my situation and he seemed to know exactly what happened. Brian said “they got stuck behind the pinch weld right???” I said Yep!!! He said with a snarky little attitude “I’ll send you an email that’ll explain what to do”… So I get this email with an eight step process to remedy the problem. I followed that set of instructions to the letter again. Well step # 8 said if all else fails take a hammer and bend the pinch weld seam over to make it fit. I tried but I would have had to bend that seam over 45 degrees and I didn’t want to go that far with the sledge hammer. Long story short I had to take a 4” angle grinder, remove ¼” + off the top of the pinch weld seam to get my new $1500 AMP Research’s running boards to operate on my $70,000 brand new truck. Needless to say I was PISSED!!!! For that amount of money the AMP Research product should have fit like a glove.
If you are looking to buy a set of nice power retractable running boards LOOK SOMEWHERE ELSE! Don’t spend your money here, You will be Disappointed !!!!!
PS… I took the AMP Research badges off the steps so they don’t get any free advertising from me. They better run flawlessly for a long time… If they so much as hiccup I’m going to unbolt them and throw them into the dumpster……. I’ll definitely let you know…….
Do this but a train horn install… the easy way 😂
Hello I have watched a vast majority of your videos. I am not trying to dispect you or your vehicle but I am just curious as to what makes your truck special enough to win trophie? In other words I guess I'm asking you to sell me your truck like as if I were a judge. Please keep up with the videos and please do another trick judge with Dave.
Id rather save the couple hundred dollars because then I'll have my obd port left to the tuner
I got those steps on my 08 duramax, 10"-12" cognito lift on 40" military's. Those steps are extremely convenient.
I have my programmer plugged into obd. Is there another way to plug n play or a splitter?
Whats that green sticker on your truck
Gotta get a top side creeper too
The torque spec is always snug and then some 😂😂
Wes wearing vans ??? Great video
You've always included your buddies in your videos but love to see it happening even more. Let's see what's going down in DMAXRYNO's neighborhood! Lol
