Most of our coastal signs are carved from High-Density-Urethane, the “ miracle ” man-made wood sign fabric that is wholly raincoat ( like fiberglass ) and will never rot, cleave or crack in a marine environment. We besides use Matthews Acrylic Polyurethane paints and clearcoats, which are extremely UV repellent and have minimal fade over a ten or more, unlike house paints that most sign manufacturers use. Our signs are designed to still look attractive after a decade or more of exposure to fog, rain and salt tune.
