I would LOVE your feedback on this video, we want to be better!! Also, did you see the fish rip me over those rocks? 🤷🏽‍♀️

WOW big fish

zigg stah

BECAUSE IM BAAD IM BAAD YAKNOW IT LOL

Michael Chapman

Anytime a fish gets me in a log or brush and I know I’m running too light of leader to pull them through I always hit free spool and let them swim out. Not much you can do about the rocks 😂 maybe wade out and keep the rod tip as high as possible.

James Rutter

Thanks for the tip on the lower bobber stopper! Along with all the other info… water color, etc. Jim

Fly fish mono rig. 😃

That's what I'm talking about, don't you love that Revo rocket reel it picks that line up quick I love high speed reels when bobber fishing, and when those steelhead or salmon rush you that reel will keep up so the line don't go slack and give the fish a chance to get that hook loose.

Excellent video! Love the “how to” tips and demonstrations.

Henry Clayton

Not fair that you are putting the bead stops on the line WITHOUT magnifying glasses!!!
Jumping fish!!!! Yahoo!
Smart fish going through the grass and over the rocks – I hate when that happens!
Great video, thank you.

Yeah, I’ll definitely be back. I’m subscribed to your channel. 🙂 I just want to see your filleting skills. If you could fillet the fish on camera every time you catch one, that would be great. 😌

The best smile ever… 🙂 Great job and patience getting the second fish out of that snag (although it broke the line later anyway). Question?! So you really float beads? I've only either drifted or bobberdogged beads. I thought they needed to roll on the bottom. So you fish your beads mid-water or do you adjust the leader to drag the bottom anyway? I think they are semi-buoyant so if you float fish them, they would be at mid-depth regardless of the leader length anyway. I've never tried that before. Anyway, I was thinking how cool it would it be to run into you randomly on a river one of these days. 🙂

My replies to comments in comment threads haven’t been seen by anyone on any channel lately and I don’t know why, so I’ll type here. I’m not trolling you, lol. I’m just giving you a video request. Sorry if I’m annoying you, that’s not my intention.

Happy Valentines Day !

I really liked this video. I'm looking forward to setting up this double bead and double bobber stop system. The underwater bead comparison was informative and overall I thought it is a great video. Sorry about that "Rock Ripper" but that's fishing! That buck was a beauty. Thanks Ash

Also, since you're in the Northwest… I really think you would love a fishing trip to Banks Lake for smallmouth bass. Next weekend my wife and I are going to Lake Havasu here in AZ for stripers, smallmouth and flathead catfish. Sometimes I do miss Washington for fishing rivers for salmon, sturgeon and steelhead. Ocean for rockfish and lings 🥺

Braided line is an absolute must with a float rod. It floats and allows you to mend line easily for a more natural presentation.

brngrofdeth

Gotta love being the early bird and getting to your favourite spot. However, you always get assholes that just come in and fish with you there. Then again, the river is nice to wash away the DNA! Lots of love and blessings from Ontario Canada!

PLEASE film yourself filleting the fish next time after you catch it immediately fresh out of the water. 🙏

Mike Ortiz

Are you fishing in Washington?

Shawn Bowen

It may seem like a lot but one thing I add to my bobber set up is a medium size corkie right above the bobber. So bobber stop, 2 beads like you do, then corkie then bobber, bead and bobber stop below that. The corkie lets me know if anything is tangled up or not sitting right. Sometimes my bobber is straight up and down like its fine but the corkie is sitting off to the side of the top of the bobber and that tells me my line wrapped or twisted during the cast. When everything is fishing right the corkie will sit directly on top of the bobber. Plus if you happen to be combat fishing itll help you distinguish your bobber from everyone else's. Oh and make it a bright corkie that contrasts your bobber color. Orange top bobber, use a chartreuse corkie. chartreuse bobber use a orange corkie. One color is usually easier to see depending on the light or glare so it adds a visual aid in that respect too.

Back in the old days we never used bobbers except in tidewater we just dredged the bottom with corkies like men!

Lawrence Blue

Absolutely right Bad Ash with the bead colors and the clarity of the color of the water.

Mister Jim

Nice Buck… I never tire admiring those colors…
Nice video.
My go to bead is orange/white with the white up and orange down and some white yarn w/ shrimp oil. I cut the yarn at the base of the hook so no short strikes.

Jeff Rendell

Great video thank you for posting.

Steelhead Tom

I’m sorry Ash…I can’t sit thru the YT leadin for 5 minutes
