Building an exhaust system from scrap – 1951 Chevy Budget Rat Truck Build

I need some parts before I can start the 1951 Chevy Rat Truck for the first time. Whilst waiting for that, I build an exhaust system from scrap pieces that’s lying around.

G'day mate awesome..loving it ..yeah put some stainless around the exhaust exit to match taillights ..and lose the yellow paint on the back looks odd (just my opinion buddy) thanks for sharing 👍 👍🇦🇺🇦🇺

Tail pipes through the "rear valance" looking great. I would go with the truck blue/green colour with some patina to soften it up a little. Thank you for sharing Div.

I like all the fabrication on the exhaust looks great. I don't know what that yellow thing is I don't like it I don't have any suggestions on what to do with it other than take it off I have no idea what it used to be.

I think that truck is absolutely 💯 Awesome all your custom touches are " points on there own settings way up high " very tastefully done ✔️

I'm dig'n it.
👍

My vote is to eliminate the yellow spare tire cover and just go with rusty finish.

Aaron Theriau

The multi colors are Ok.. but prob be pretty cool blue like the rest..dunno man 🤷‍♂️

Paint the Yellow Blue Green Simaliar to the Paint on the Cab

You Live an Exciting Life!… Ha ha!

Thomas Pollock

Anything but yellow, IMHO.

Sherif Roberts

Why don't you paint Rat Rods of Africa on the back of that that it looked pretty sick that's my suggestions you might find a better one

Jon C

As soon as you throw something away your going to need it, Exhaust looks great

StirlingLighthouse

She’s really coming along nicely Diff. 👍
The yellow never sat well with me, but I bet you that a good sit in the thinking chair, will straighten the whole thing out!

Michael Whitaker

Very nice design. Can’t wait to hear it!

I use to do the same thing with my trash for burning because my late wife mother lived with us and to her trash was trash ,even in my compost. I'm liking the exhaust system! Be careful my friend , I hear ya on the hot plastic. Lol

Rob Bollom

awesome Div…lil trucks looking good…yes rear lower panel…VALANCE we say here in Australia too

Ron Lamaster

I like the hub caps you had on in a couple of shots! As for the yellow paint, remove it. I would either go with the original cab color or all RUST! Keep up the great Vloging.

Denise Prettner

I would just get rid of that Spare tire Bulge. Just toss the spare in the bed, weld a flat panel in and be done with it.

Harold Funderburk

Great job on that exhaust! But I was hoping to hear what it sounds like. 😂 can’t believe you teased me like that 😂
The exhaust is what I’m dreading on my ‘61 Falcon. I hope it sounds good. It’s not a V8, but an I6. We will see.
👍🏻👍🏻!!!!

And the yellow , just fade it like the the body body somewhat

TheFrameoff
