The "armed robot" thing was blown completely out of proportion, no pun intended. The robot didn't have sentience or autonomy or AI, it would be a human being controlling it and pushing the button, just like drones. All drones can do it autonomously id the target for their operator, who then goes to a higher level to ask for permission to shoot. The only problem I see with an armed robot under human control, if it's wireless, it could be hacked so anyone online could see what it sees and over ride the operator's commands. Practically, it's no different than a police sniper using his judgement and approval of higher ups.

I come from a different country. We are not as car mad. "jaywalking" has a completely different meaning from the USA. We can always cross a road except if there is a very specific law against it for a very specific reason. Such as crossing within 20 m of a pedestrian crossing but not ON the crossing. California's law would make it more in keeping with WORLD norms. Even if the USA as a whole is weird.

About the J walking to fix the problem is to make it legal lol why don't you address the cause of the problem who is writing J walking tickets To black man unproportionately. There's more than just white man police officers there are women police officers there are African American police officers there are Asians latinos if all of those police officers aren't doing the same thing that the white little hand recessive DNA police officers are doing then the problem isn't the police force.
