I live in CT and in the process of buying a condo in New Port Richey on a canal just about a mile from the Gulf. Can't wait to get out in a kayak to explore! Hey, I saw your 'river monster' video where you caught that huge jack and I saw something very dangerous. You had the lanyard for the fish grips around your wrist, if a shark came up and grabbed the fish you'd go over in a second. Take the lanyard across the back of your hand and loop it around your thumb so if something happens it just slips off your thumb and doesn't drag you in.
