INCIDENT DATE/TIME: 2-18-23 11:20 am approx
LOCATION: 2500 blk of Azure Coast Dr

DETAILS:
Deputies were searching for a wanted felony suspect (Brian Glover) and found him in Mission Valley.
Deputies attempted to pull Glover over and he fled at a high rate of speed.
The Sheriff’s ASTREA helicopter was overhead and followed the Glover as the Deputies stopped pursuing the suspect on the freeway.
Glover along with a female passenger drove onto the northbound I-5 and took the La Jolla Parkway exit.
As he was coming down the hill into La Jolla, he crashed into two other vehicles.
Both Glover and the female then fled on foot towards the homes on Azure Coast Dr.
SDPD officers and SDSO deputies set up a large perimeter and received a call from a female resident who informed the Police of people in her backyard.
The resident evacuated her home as the Police & Deputies surrounded the residence.
After 30 minutes of searching, the female was found first and detained.
Glover was found a short time later hiding in a crawl space under the house.
The female was taken to a hospital as she had injuries from the crash.
The people involved in the earlier crash were not injured.
Glover told the deputies that he couldn’t move as he had just taken fentanyl.
He was taken out from under the house and carried to the Paramedics.
He was also transported to a local hospital.
Glover is wanted for felony Domestic Violence and has an arrest record for drug dealing, pimpng & pandering and other crimes. He was considered to be “armed & dangerous”.

From an outsider point of view, it makes little sense that States do not have a unified national set of rules.
Some places have no bail, some do. Sentences for the same crimes are not the same everywhere. Some are slaps on the wrist, others are more serious.
Police are stuck trying to do their best against a never ending tide of crime.
I see American citizens tired and angry at rotating door courts, I see bonds for horrid crimes that are a total joke.
Dont ever put this on the police and first responders. Go fix the social causes instead.

What I find really disturbing with the scene are:
1) How the cops shows no respect for the property owner 2:12 on how they trampled the nice landscaping of the house.
2) The K9 handler at 3:19 of how she drag the dog hanging on its neck. She should be flipping hamburger at McDonalds instead of the well paid job.
I am all for taking down drug dealers and lock them up for life, but how the LEs handle the situations are often very troubling. You can feel good about their arrest but more likely than not they will walk free within weeks if not days.
