Those are beautiful fish and would like to have a couple of them in my 125 gallon tank! I have a friend who has a pond with hybrid sunfish that are huge and colorful too and a few kinds of panfish from Florida that are nice!
These are quite similar to the ones we used to catch at Three Mile Island.

To me they act and look like an invasive type of fish like a gasperau here in Canada and are not much good for anything besides bait fish or fertilizer for the garden.

I would rather catch a 3 pound bluegill than a 10 pound largemouth. Especially on ultra-light spinning tackle. How much fun is that!!!!
