Fishing for massive redfin at Lake Cargelligo

I’ve been wating years to go fishing at Lake Cargelligo, and it was worth the wait. I wasn’t expecting to catch big redfin at Lake Cargelligo, and was very pleasantly surprised when we caught these. To be honest, I would have been happy just to catch a couple of carp!

Peter

What day were you there? I was there on the weekend.

Roger Curnow

Robbie, I was in Lake Cargelligo in 2015….not fishing as the only fish I saw caught was a MONSTER carp and didn't think it was worth fishing if that was all I would catch. I am surprise to see these redfin pulled out from that lake! Yellowbelly there too, eh? You broke your Shimano?

S G

Good to see some decent sized ones. Well done.

Peter Hipwell

Well done great video Robbie Matt and Nathan
We used to catch Redfin like that many years ago
Now they are small but still well worth catching
Keep up the good work

Pretty good catches there. I am going Redfin fishing in a few days, I mostly stopped fishing during winter, but now I am starting again. What I like about the Redfin in particular is that they are not difficult to catch, compared to Australian natives, Redfin are very forgiving, even if you spook them, they usually seem to have forgotten after a few minutes and start striking again. The Redfin is a beautiful addition to Australia's naturally slim pickings of freshwater fishing.
Hopefully I can get 3 in a few days, this time I will keep the roe as well, I have researched how to cook and prepare fish roe, hopefully that works out nicely, since the eggs naturally have a lot of fats and stuff, so they should be nice.
Another good video by you here, I never miss a good Redfin video.

Frank Cherry

Hi Robbie. Those are some stonking Reddies!! You sure they weren't Carp in disguise??🤣Awesome video mate

Barry Taylor

BushFish'n'Cook

I'm so happy to see you went fishing with Nathan and Matt 👍🏼

You're a legend mate I have been helping these young blokes along with their channels for well over a year now and I know how much they love your channel 🎣💪

Hopefully lots of people check out their channels from here I know Nathan puts in so much effort and of course Matt as well, unfortunately Matt had his old channel just disappear one day so had to start all over again…

Keep doing what you are doing Robbie, Nathan and Matt 👍🏼

Michael Ware

Good on ya Robbie

Glen Baker

Great video mate. Nathan excelled himself with those leviathans! I’ve never seen reddies so big. Not many blokes would drive 5 hours just to take a young fan out fishing, well done!

ravenfeader

Well done guys and the Reddies were beauties . 👍
