very fun little build from stuff i already had apart from the rear wheels and chain, this will dramatically speed up the disposal of spoils from my underground workshop bunker

Ohhh there is MK1 Now I understand why you made the 2nd version.

Julia Stephenson

It did look quite comical being that short 😀 mk2 looks much better.

Karl Beckmann

Maybe you can save yourself a bunch of work and buy an old go cart. Modify that with more ground clearance and the dump bed.

We all say this is a great dad teaching his son how to welding but stop an think about something isnt that part of being a dad teaching you're sons how to be a man remenber us men are rising sons to be men not boys rite

P.S. Give your son a hug for me, and tell him it was from all the way in San Diego California.

You are a fantastic Dad!! I love your little dump truck. If you want a longer wheelbase, you could hinge the dump bed at the very back, then use a hand powered winch at the front of the bed where you just turn a crank to lift the front of the bed. If you put it at the right spot, and reinforce the bed, you could also use one of those scissor type car jacks to lift the bed. 45 degree tilt is ideal, but less of an angle would work. I have subscribed to your channel. This type of creativity I call "Third-World Engineering".

Hi can I use part of your video to my compilation homemade inventions ?

Bork

lol good job catchin him when he went down to touch the welds.

Zephod Beeblebrox

That looks like fun. What;s the screeching noise? A bad clutch? I'd have been tempted to put the seat facing the dumper rather than the other way around.

use a peerless gearbox use nobbly rear tyres

Great build keep up the good work! Like the dual rear wheel but think I would have tried to find a single fatter tire… More chances for a flat…

Mantapppss bang 😊👍👍

Love it!

That, sir, is how you make real men: by affectionately teaching little boys the joy of doing what needs to be done. Your son is richer than he knows. Salute.

To make a dumper truck is much easy use a diesel engine, because they have much power than the gasoline type.

Loved watching him with his son. I smiled all the way through that scene, remembering my Father teaching me "life skills" (welding, cutting, brazing, plumbing, carpentry…).
Yeah she's a bit short but that can be remedied. Chop it in half and add a bit!

This is awesome!

Nice build and respects for educating the kid. PS. Ya should have gone for totally rubber tyres as repairing the inner tubes on those cheap one's is a right pain in the ass.

I like it!

Pretty damn cool!!!

I wont complain again. .. I picked up a John Deere 925 front mower .. 3 cylinder yanmar diesel. Bought it to make a mover for my property, removed the deck . Will make a small dumper where the mower use to be.. too many projects, so little time.. hello from TEXAS!.. genius you are!

Thomas Pigg

I love the build! And another eight to ten inches in the frame length may change the front end "bounciness" of it. I like that it's truly unique and one of a kind (I mean what other mad and insane person would build a death trap such as this 🤪😁🤣🤣🤣). By the way, I think that your assistance should get a raise…. Maybe instead of just one or two biscuits (or cookies) you give him the entire box, because he's earned it!!! Sweating and working in your foundry, day in and day out. And for what… Just two cookies. Egad ol' chap, pay him his worth!!!

Kudos for teaching your kiddo to weld! That's an awesome skill that could potentially be the foundation of an excellent career when he's older. Also, kudos for making a useful vehicle out of nothing more than what you had on hand. Nicely done!
My suggestions for MK II: Longer wheelbase, knobby go-kart style tires, and a tilt steering wheel to allow it to get out of your way when getting in and out of the vehicle.

Daryl Smith

Nice one man it just needs to be a little longer I think, either way still awesome!
