Would love to see 20+ years on electronic vehicles powered by batteries, haha just laugh away…
At first 8 grand sounded like alot of money for a 2001, but low miles and a new frame, that's great, Scotty, i have a rusted 2002 Silverado with 190k, 6.0 gas motor, if you find the same truck, rust free, low milage, i'll pay 8 grand! keep up the good work
What a Great vehicle for $8500…. Change the timing belt and live long and enjoy. 🙂
Most of the timing belts I’ve seen, bout over 400-500 water pump will seep before that timing belt snaps. Most pumps went out around 194,000 on 2000-2004 tundras and sequoia. Highest I’ve seen at point pump started leaking was 224,000 but that was only once. I’m 50 and been around 28 yrs in automotive, worked at toyotalexus scion …. Seen a lot being there 14 yrs.
One thing that may cause problems on the early Tundras, 2000-2001, is brakes. In their haste to get the truck to Market, Toyota used what's basically a Tacoma brake system. I had a 2000, great truck except for the brakes, they just wouldn't last, finally upgraded them to whatever year got better brakes -2002? 2003? Don't remember the details. Once upgraded, they were fine.
If I see WHAT on a vehicle, don't buy it? What is he talking about? All I got out of this video is that an old Tundra can be a great buy.
yeah listen good to the engine never assume its "bulletproof " because it's a toyota if you hear odd noises coming from the engine walk away , my brother did on a 98 avalon yeah it rode nice but it had a little tick and it was low on oil. so always take your time checking out cars and take Test drive long enough to feel for it.
Wish Chev replaced frames. My 02 chev rusted so bad it became unsafe to drive.
I just bought a 2001 sequoia v8, 300,000 miles on the dot. Runs perfect and shifts smoooth like butter.
I remember when Nissan was Major Motion.
I have a 2006 tundra sr5 4.7L V8 with 317,000k miles on it and the ac blows cold 🥶 no check engine light 💡 still smogs here in California & I’ve heard of the motors and transmissions going 500,000k and further ❤
8 grand ? Yea right I doubt it
Cool truck but That thing needs a wax job that would clean that little truck up pretty good
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
8 grand for a 22 year old pickup?! No freaking way! It’s probably about what it cost new back then.
👍
spirit fingers!
Which scanner is that ?
If you see a radio inside the car don't buy it🤣
All I need are some tasty waves, a 94 Celica, a cool buzz, and I'm fine.
maybe the 1st one is an EV
My 2001 highlander, Fwd v6 275k miles and starts right up everyday. Drives great!
When I changed the high pressure power steering line on my friends 2005 Sequoia I didn't even have to jack up the truck. Very easy job. Same engine as this truck
My truck is 25 years old. I love not worrying about its appearance. One afternoon while washing it, my neighbor commented about me washing it and I said it was getting its once a year wash. 😂
I had Toyota replace the frame on my 2003 stepside trd tundra 4 years ago it cost me 1,500 for parts
Rust first thing engine second
Paint sucks. A POS
Sport Runabout 5 speed (SR5) My Taco is a 6speed. I guess they keep the badge for historical heritage.
I had an 05 tundra best truck EVER! Then I had a ram 2500. Now I drive an 87 iroc z28!
My 2001 Tundra has 320,000 miles still going strong.
Superficial rust, then he touches it and a chunk of rust falls down lol.
Back’s looking pretty good 😂
Had the exact same truck put it thru hell never let me down.
I love my Toyota's. Thanks for the Vid
They don't like to be called Male man Scotty. It's not a gender neutral term 🙄. 🤭 You wouldn't refer to someone as a Lady Woman. 🤫
Hell Yes !! …that one's a keeper
I just bought a '95 Nissan Hardbody truck from the original owner. They're still out there. Great deal on this Tundra, that's for sure.
What is the best way to keep an engine cleaned? That Toyota engine looked brand new.
