This week the delta seems to be in a holding pattern. The improving bite pattern that offered a ray of hope last week has slowed. The cold snap dropped the water temp and out went the lights on what was slow but improving fishing. This week the weather will play a big factor on how the fish will feed, so make sure to watch the full report for predictions. Good Luck.

Thanks Steve
Steve, you mentioned that the bite was good over the weekend and into Monday. I noticed that those days were the "best" days of the month (and even the season) from the solunar forecast. Maybe the weather is playing a part, but perhaps they are really sensitive right now to the moon phases? Don't know. Just noticed it. Thanks again for the report. I sure am hoping to get out this weekend. I need to wet a line! Take care.
I forgot to mention….I did get out last Saturday for a half day on Folsom. Caught a 3 lb 6 oz Spottie with a 3.8" Keitech Dat Swing swimbait on a football jig. I was right by the dam over on the Southfork side right in about 15 feet of water. Just slow retrieving right off the bottom. I was so excited, my hands were shaking. 🙂
Looking forward to your fishing reports in the near weeks…Thanks
Thx Steve, getting boat ready… it’s a great time to do some preseason maintenance. Reports are alway so helpful 👍🏼
Thanks for the latest on the D Steve. Always appreciate your time and effort.
just Put the boat back in the marina I'll send in Reports from Rio vista area
Hi Steve, Deepvbasser here… here's what I saw on westernbass reports a few days ago: Obviously it has changed as is normal for the delta. Thanx for your update!!

Fished the East Delta around Paradise. Stripers in the 12-14” range on Ratt-L-Traps and jerk baits around rip rap.
Not much else going on for us beyond that. Back out tomorrow…
Thanks for the report, Steve. I realize it’s still February, but is it just me, or has this been the longest winter in memory?
I caught a couple on Sunday with a jerkbait on levee points 8-12ft of water
Thanks Steve! Great report!
From angler of the week, to angler of the weak!! ☹️
2 fish last 2 times out!
Water dropped. Tide dropped. Definitely weather dependent!!! Little bit longer!
Caught 3 on Monday at Hogan. Orange spinnerbait orange blades and A-rig.
Hey Steve, thanks again for the latest report. I hooked into my first bass of the year out of my local pond using the finesse worm / split shot technique you went over. It was a good sized, strong fish, but unfortunately it got off at the bank bending my hook out! I'm still thinking of the one that got away. No bites since. I'll be dreaming of warmer temps while we tough out these cold temps and rain that are coming.
Thank u steve, hope u get better
Seals Seals😡😡😡😡 does this have anything to do with poor fishing ???? There are 4 and one very big one along whiskey slough near the boat ramp
Well done steve pretty impressive cold front coming through good call the trout are huge Comanche and Amador
Dang !
That water is dirty and so much debris floating.
I’m thinking more like late March or early April before I come out and fish.
Thanks for all you do steve. Your reports are invaluable, especially for those of us that live hours away
Hi Steve! We had a slow weekend last weekend. Erik and I went out on Saturday and Monday. Got one fish on Monday, 3.4 lbs Spotted Bass and she looked like she was ready to spawn, big fat belly. Caught it on a JIG and it was a very slow bite, just barely felt her suck it up. Water temp was 49 degrees.
We saw on Monday too one fish 8 hours my son on a crankbait
I was given a Shimano Stradic 1000 spinning reel. What would be the best Loomis NRX+ rod too match the small reel with 4 lb test. I fish on the bank with my scooter. It was nice meeting you ar the ISE show in Sacramento.
I saw you yesterday but you were quite swift getting the boat out the water…I was getting my float tube together. Your report is VERY accurate! Hopefully the weather will play nice soon! 🎣🫡 Fi$h-N-Game 4Life!!!
