You're a machine Heath. 👊
Red, throw a 110v heat blanket up there to fix the snow gutter problem. Ky
Something I learned long ago. As you get older, anytime you can exchange money for time, do it. You have better things to be doing besides screwing around with a 20 year old truck.
get a plasma cutter – no gas needed
invest in truck and you are going to always have to do lots of regular pm for a plow truck – get some accounts for boy to plow to offset costs involved and have him do reg maintenance and you can do overhaul every couple years
get some drywall and finish garage – you will feel better – rent a drywall lift for easier application or just sub it out – the pros who do it all the time are much faster and you get better final product – spray it with white eggshell finish and it will lighten up garage and make it feel bigger
Great video!!
Why did you Heath not go to the party with the family?? I know you had work to do however family is by far more important! Your daughter will remember that her dad was not there. I think you need to look at your priorities here…..
I know Heath didn't just say, "these trucks are built very well," referring to Dodge Ram trucks. Those Cummins engines are awesome, but everyone knows Dodge trucks are trash outside of that. The ones with gas motors are practically given away after 100K miles.
I love my air ride bags I put on a five window school bus that I converted into an RV and man do they make a difference this is the only YouTube that I absolutely have to watch as soon as it post thanks for keeping it real and honest and always interesting and of course the wife for keeping you on your toes lol I have been watching since the beginning and you never have a blah video.
Good for you Heath, you’re using your garage on your shop for fixing your truck! And the insulation looks great with the wood burning stove going! Awesome!
When are you going to close up the gaps between the rafters on the wall next to your new generator and fuel tank? Does that not allow most of the heat to escape from your shop?
You got that giant barn and yet you still leave your tools out in the snow.
Love seeing truck building stuff again… I guess I generally love the way you rotate between building, renovating, dirt work, animals, cars, utvs, solar… 😂 really everything
Even if stuff doesn’t always work out the first time around 😎
Your skills are remarkable, Heath!
😱😱 snow…..😒
When are you gonna finish insulating the ceiling of the shop?
Spit coffee out my nose when he said those Dodge trucks were built well, lmfao. You're a funny guy keep the jokes coming buddy
Oh my! Praying you get the new bracket to installed in a safe and secure manner.
So nice to have a super sized shop for winter work/projects..but the uninsulated roof is one huge heatsink….
The dogs are smart, hanging out on a rug by the heated stove….
we dont even have snow in sweden yet… whats wrong with your state? xD
😫😖SNOW! NOOOOOOoooooo!
Being someone from the col frosty north I highly recommend that you insulate the ceiling in your work shop. All that heat is going straight up and out through the roof. Mike from Maine.
JUST CURIOUS….. Why are you not doing a simple cab swap on your son's truck? Especially since you mentioned a flat bed build. Seems like less work to me. I would also be concerned about the wait on the front suspension components. You know those hub bearings are going to be your weak points with the extra weight. Heck, they have a hard enough time with stock weight 😜I not being hater by no means…..just curious about your thoughts
👏🏻👋👍😁😊😉
Heath just bit the bullet and go get the excavator or have it brought back to the house with all of us that follow your channel we can help you fix it I know I willing and able I worked on junk excavators for years I think it's a lot simpler than what you're thinking it is you can message me and I will respond we could get it fixed
If your lamps drag a 8kw generator, you need to switch to LED lighting.
I have seen every Red Poppy Ranch video. Heath is an exceptional story teller, he has a vision, and he always works hard. But he never learns. Over the years he has cobbled together one junk truck after another. He doesn't seem to understand the importance of engineering. His love of building out weighs his ability to think. He makes a good living on YouTube by telling his story of trial and error. I have learned several things from this channel. Never buy a hillside property, broken equipment is not worth the price, think through a project before starting it.
👍👍
An idea which would add a lot more time but I think be pretty cool because it's something I've always wanted to do is to reattach the drivetrain backwards onto the truck. Put the engine in the bed and modify the drive shafts for the 4X4 or swap the axles. This would help not have so much weight on the front of the truck and even it out so the 4X4 isn't as strained. Good luck to you and I love the videos! Been watching for years.
I would recommend you buying a plasma cutter or so much better so much easier and do much better job and all they do is taken in a bit of electricity and I need our compressor just a suggestion out of an extremely long fan of yours
I ain't never seen a man who has made so many questionable purchases.
Keep doing what you do
That plow would be perfekt in front of the ford tractor
Almost at the click of a finger and it’s winter. That’s a very swift change in weather. Looks beautiful though. ✨💜✨💜✨💜✨💜✨💜✨💜✨💜✨💜✨💜✨💜✨💜✨💜✨💜✨💜
Your Spare Tire is really loose under there.!!!! 3:50
Your cutting torch is running a little acetylene rich, going by the color of the flame when you're not hitting the lever. Can't say anything about your technique because you timelapsed those parts. Just make sure to preheat properly before opening the oxygen flow, and don't dwell too long on a spot while cutting, but don't hurry along, either. Angle the torch head a little to cut "ahead", it makes for a cleaner cut.
The pets look really comfortable on the cushion in the shop with the fire on.
I know you don't look at YouTube comments but, sometimes, Cedar does. Question, which you may have answered previously, why didn't you put the Solar Panels on the shop roof?
Glad to see another 2nd gen get a new lease on life, even if its just a plow horse. I have a 2001 but mine has the 8 liter V10 with a 6" lift on 37" tires and its really a workhorse of a truck that refuses to die.
This may be a long shot and certainly not meant to be rude, but could you do a video without music? Just one?. Yes, I do mute and watch with subtitles lol
