Lake Erie Smallmouth Bass Fishing
Cory Gaff and I arrived to Sandusky, Ohio to go fishing on Lake Erie for Independence Day, July 4, 2020. We spent several days fishing Sandusky Bay, the Bass Islands, Kelley Island, and the many different reefs & shoals.
We were surprised to see how many bass were in water less than 10 feet and found several still on their spawning beds.
We caught fish with chatterbaits and tubes, but most of the fish were caught with Ned Rigs. This video shows how we caught smallmouth bass on Lake Erie during the heat of the summer.
