Jamin has been on me about building a vehicle for Knucklehead Garage to get into drag and drive events. Since we know absolutely nothing about drag racing, I figured we should give it a shot. Well he fell in love with a 68 C10 it was orange and looked really nice, but when we started gauging interest from our usual marketing partners no one cared about it. The build lacked uniqueness. So back to the drawing board. My favorite drag truck of all time was a white service truck. I will never forget the image of that truck doing a burnout and how butt hurt the guy in the other lane was when he got gapped by a work truck! Service Body trucks are starting to gain popularity so we started the hunt for a Square Body Chevy to start the build. When Jamin stumbled upon this one of a kind green 1975 C20 on marketplace it was a no-brainer. So he hopped on a plane site unseen and decided to go buy this carpenters Cadillac and drive it home 800 miles deathwish style. The truck was a barn find that hadn’t seen the road in 13 years. It has a Chevy 350 which burned a quart of oil per tank of fuel. I was on standbye with a truck and trailer ready to go get him when it broke down but it somehow made it home without any major issues thus where we named in Lucky. Now with a ton of time, labor, and parts old Lucky is going to be the coolest/fastest drag racing service truck next year so stay tuned for the build.

That rear bumper is insane
Mix of bert kreischer and amiri king… this guy is gold! That truck is minty and deserves a good redo
I agree on avoiding Memphis. I found out that you can u-turn a 48' enclosed trailer in the road in downtown Memphis at night if you want to bad enough.
A nice aftermarket cup holder with add several horsepower
Nice utility truck, saw it on the Instagram and was drooling over how cool it is. I have a 1986 C20 Chevy utility truck SRW that also came from Oklahoma, but did not have all the rust issues. So find that strange, but that all can be fixed. Mine originally had a 350 with TH400, but I swapped in a LS 6.0 with 4L60E and not is is pretty fast for 6000lb truck. I think you should go with a LS 6.2L supercharged with 8 speed transmission. Make it the best of the best and be a sleeper like any LS in a Square. Funny with mine people seem to think it is still an old slow tire V8, but it is still pretty quick with the 6.0 in such a heavy truck. Look forward to seeing what you do with it and love the patina on it.
Really twist some giblets slam a coyote in it.
5700 was that just the rear?? That ain’t bad for a service body
