Hahaha…. They just announced their EV truck like a week ago and they already have to recall it for catching on fire!!! 😉

Shirley Gorre

I'll take a wiper recall over a transmission recall and or fire anytime.

Ray Russell

You know …. I'm starting to suspect some sabotage here, with all these fire stories in the news. Are any of these parts coming from China?

No one’s perfect

Park your truck outside? It's cause the government is gonna take your diesel trucks!! The repos are already happening

Hi Andre. I actually have a windshield wiper recall on my 2021 F-150. Surprisingly i entered the vin in the NTHSA tool and it indicates 0 unrepaired recall. The recall is not done yet the part is not available. I'm not convinced of the accuracy of the result.

Joe Michael

Never heard a car maker tell owners to park out due to fire risk.

TFL – Absolutely shocked that you cover this with no mention of the 3.0L Ecodiesel engine fires and recalls. While this is a different failure mode, you do mention the occurrence of 6 engine fires and that this is a surprising action given that metric. This is not surprising considering their experience with, and management of, the prior engine fires with the Ecodiesel. I appreciate that you try to spread the story of recalls across manufacturers, but simply, engine fires are a serious issue. It’s risk measured by likelihood an event may happen and potential for harm.

I had the recall done on mine, started smelling the electrical blue smoke smell. Then my Uconnect infotainment center went all wonky. Took to the stealership and they repaired everything free of charge. Replaced all the effected equipment zero hassle. So, I may not have been ot happened, I was happy at how well they treated me…..,I am not sure that would have been the case with Ford.

Was starting to think twice about my 7.3 Godzilla order, but damn these new diesels are so complicated

Matthew Prather

Wait… ICE vehicles can catch fire?? I thought that could only happen with EVs! lol

Ryan

Dang, Ram sure is competitive with Ford!! They can’t let Ford keep anything.

Jeremy Someone

Fake news. Only EV’s catch fire.

This is similar to the COVID-19 that some people get affected and some of them don’t
In other words they just playing Games.

I know this is a serious recall. Toyota's are not exempt. Many of you recall the rusted out rotted frames they had to replace on tens of thousands of trucks?? They even bought out some owners as well. Ford is no Better. There are number one but so are the recalls. No one is exempt anymore. It's all about who's got the most egg on their face, and how many trucks are affected

Simple fix: Disconnect the grid heater relay. The grid heater is not necessary for starting or running the engine, even in cold weather (maybe needed for really really cold weather). The grid heater failing from electrical arcing has been a known problem for years, which causes a nut to fall into the intake which causes engine damage. Some think the cause is the grid heater relay sticking on. Now there is a recall on the relay so maybe they are right. I disconnected my grid heater/relay a few winters ago and everything works great with no worries.

Just like a Chevy bolt

If it’s not an electric vehicle that luddites can rage about then it’s not news 🙄

Joshua Crawford

Same recall on Subaru Ascents. We had too have a wire harnesses bolts replaced, if the the harness wasn’t fried already.

Anderson Rodriguez

Is fca stelantis can’t expect nothing less 😊

Brad Shay

What about the dodge frames breaking. I know of 4 of them…

Thomas Luggiero

Ford is the reecall KING!!!!

Top of the line in utility sports! Unexplained fires are a matter for the courts! Canyonerrrrrroooooooooooo

Amelia Ochoa

I’ve been on the fence between Chevy, Ram, or Ford gas 3/4 ton trucks. I’m getting more and more nervous about ram recently. Especially this and the latest payload/towing problem

Unbelievable

FCA products, junk

Dan Thompson

As much as everyone owes on them there will be more fires 🔥

Dan Thompson

I think this has happened before on some older models
