What brand recovery boards did you have? I guess no warranty for such? I have seen the knobs burned off from spinning o one of the top rated and most expensive brands. I purchased xbull off eBay many years back have only used three times

Here is a recipe to try out….
Apple chicken sausage pepper/ onions an potatoes an butter….foil….cut sausage in quarters an peppers an onion or even mixed vegetables to your liking add sliced up potatoes ….wrap in foil an put about a quarter stick of butter in food along with salt/ pepper or a seasoning ….put wrapped meal near camp fire coals or on fire pit grate until fully cooked an potatoes are tender….taste great with any variety of meat an mix of vegetables an potatoes….easy prep meal with hardly any cleanup….an don't forget a splash of hot sauce

JB weld that sucker back together. I JB welded a leak in a gas tank one time and drive it for years with no leaks
