Many new candidates have been elected in the UK elections. One man, who India has been watching closely, is 34-year-old Rishi Sunak, who won as a candidate for the Conservative Party, which beat projections to score a convincing majority in the general election. Apart from his Indian surname, he is Infosys founder Narayana Murthy’s son-in-law. He spoke to NDTV in North Yorkshire in the UK about getting into politics, his priorities and of course advice from his father-in-law.

Rishi will be discredited in history as the UK economy continues to shrink due to his mismanagement since he first became Chancellor of the Exchequer and now unelected PM chosen by Tories in house without public mandate, debate or even media interview during leadership contest. Rishi’s fall will be remembered alongside rising inflation and interest rate, along with unemployment and unjustified immigration rules.
