The second day of testimony began Wednesday in the federal bank fraud conspiracy trial for Russell Laffitte, the former bank executive accused of working with Alex Murdaugh to steal millions of dollars.
On Day 1, prosecutors painted Laffitte as a willing participant in the schemes of Alex Murdaugh. Laffitte’s defense went all-in on Laffitte being a victim of Murdaugh’s deception.
