Fished Tues/Wed/Thur Bethyl isle area. Caught 0 fish on a worm, everything caught on shad chatter baits and Buzzbaits. Switched to punching, first time trying and caught 2 fish in 20 min.
Steve before the rat came out. I was pulling the bass out of the matted grass with a spinner bait with a worm on the hook to make it weedless.
I think I could have A Bass Master.
Then I hooked into a huge Striper on a bass rod.
The rest is history.
I’m kinda Crazy About New Baits.
Can’t wait to see what you do to it.
I’ve made some baits and they work.
They are copycat lures with a tweak.
Went bass fishing found a school of striped Bass.
You know I want to tell the story.

I did hook up on a Large mouth not the same at all.

Thanks for all the info. Some of us take kids out and they don't always have the patience for big fish hunting. Will you ever do a video for large red ear or number for us Delta fisherman with kids. Bluegills started most of us, gotta keep it going

Hey Steve thank you for the report and enjoy your videos. I had a few questions for you, looking at the tide chart how far off would you estimate the tide right now? When you mentioned this Saturday baits and technics I didn’t hear punching, is that correct. Any way appreciate your videos and the time you take putting these together and responding to the comments like you do!

Hey Steve thanks for the report. I could tell by the smile on your face that you had some fun with that glide bait lol. Next time I go out, I’m going to look for bigger fish instead of catching numbers. I know it’s a mental thing we have to overcome to gain more confidence. Looking forward to the next one!

So I get to come to the delta about 2 or 3 times a year and of course I planned in advance to be here this last sun mon tue. Got soaked! I can attest to the choppo bite though. Couldn't get a single fish on the buzz or chatter or spinner but they loved the choppo early. 1 punch fish, and one frog fish when I set my rod down on the boat. 😆 and a whole bunch of non keepers on the senko! Thanks for all u do brother

Thanks for the info and update on the Delta and what to look for on Saturday. Heading out Saturday with David Lee. Hopefully we will get into them. JFYI, Just got off the boat Tuesday from the Sea Wolf to Farallon's and got my limit of Rockfish, but had a big LingCod get off. The others gave me (2) LingCod, because I did not catch any. I was really wanting to land a big Ling. Oh well. Salmon are in the rivers now, and might hook up with Ricky Acosta next month.
Mike and I will be at Paradise Point tomorrow (Fri.) AM… hope to see you out there.
