FROM WHAT I HEAR, it's good money. I imagine talent is required day 1. I >assume< You don't need to be an artist. You do have to be capable. Every trucker I knew was gone a lot but not all the time, somehow, and sent fat paychecks to their wife/children.

I get the impression it's a skilled, adult job. You can't have kids, or trainees hauling. You do get good money though. Like money to feed the wife and kids, with a little extra for being an overqualified robot, working basically as much you can, and still retain humanity with friends, family, and fun.

I love this!! So pleasing to watch for some reason.

I love that this episode is almost exactly 4 years after playing this game for the first time.

By the gods, i had not laughed this hard in sometime

This episode went off the rails so suddenly. Also hearing Dan say "better luck next time freak" is my new favorite sound it's of all time.

They should def continue this series, but I think they should get a wheel and pedals (maybe stick?) because that would be amazing.

Then perhaps we occasionally die in the place of our other selves and are replaced by our alternate.

Perhaps that is when we experience the falling into our body moment as we replace our other self and the Mandela effect is the remnant memories of our original world.

I always have dreams about this same multi-level highway. I'm driving along and there's holes in the highway that drop down to lower levels of highway. I try to stay up as high as I can, but I keep falling down. Eventually, at the bottom of this highway stack, the road is just barely floating above the water in broken segmented pieces. Water is splashing up onto these floating chunks as I try to continue driving along without going under.

It's really horrifying in the dream.

"80 Euros, that's like $150!"

Times have changed Dan, it's actually like $80.

I have spent so many hours playing this. Its lovely when there's a new album you want to listen to or a new podcast episode to just get a fairly long job going on this game while you're listening to it.

I have had that car going off a cliff dream before and thinking "Oh my God this is the end" Then waking up and I was so sure the dream was real it was disturbing for like half an hour.

They should totally get American Truck Simulator (same Devs and company that made this one) and drive around their hometowns/LA and compare it. It's uber-realistic, and they don't even need to buy the DLC since it starts with the state of California.
