You know 'cooter ' is slang for pussy.

Jay Bartlett

That truck #4 is a Chevy c30, not a GMC. Rarely seen

Justin Ray Styles

I would love to see a video on if it still exists the 00 car from the dukes of hazzard!!

SOU7000

I think you are 100% right about why they used the older truck in "Goodbye General Lee". They didn't want to potentially loose the yellow F350 as it was probably in much better shape. After all it was almost a new truck at the time.

Roblox & trains

i am still looking for moonrunners i seen it one nite late in the early 80s and said wait a min this the dukes of hazzard..i liked the movie

Justin Ray Styles

Wonder why they don't acknowledge the ford tow trucks cooter had I always liked!!🤔 I always liked the blue and white tow truck wish they'd make 1:64 scale models of those 2 trucks too!😩

The Chevy trucks were c30 not 3500 no trying to be rude

BEFORE YOU COMMENT THAT TRUCK #4 IS A CHEVY…… I KNOW!!!!!!! At 17:57 I added a disclaimer that it was possibly a Chevy. I'm not a car guy, I'm a Video guy who's a fan of a TV Show. I noticed that in the editor AFTER having spent 20+ hours recording and editing the audio, not to mention I noticed it after having spent 140+ hours editing the video as a whole. Don't like it, DON'T WATCH IT! When making a project this big ON MY OWN, there will be a small mistake or two. But I'm not gonna re-write an entire 22 minute video just to avoid offending someone because I mis-gendered a damn Tow Truck.

Alwhite1929

@ 14:27 it is clearly a chevy grille. Single headlights.

Mialese Libera

It was probably number 2 cause it would be cooters second tow truck

Thomas Smith

I would like to see a video on Uncle Jesse's ford truck ! If I remember correctly there were several different versions of it? A 67 short bed stepside, a 73 through 75 short bed wide box, a 73 through 75 long wide box, and 73 through 75 3/4 ton long bed wide box! Correct me if I'm wrong!

Thomas Smith

I remember there was also a regular 67 Chevy truck used that was dark blue! It had the small back glass and no side marker lights! It was driven by Bo in a chase scene! It was a regular longbed fleetside!

Rude Dude

Growing up watching the show, I always wondered why there were so many different vehicles used as Cooter's tow trucks…..a few of which I'd forgotten about until now. I too used to chuckle when I'd see different trucks used in the same episode….lol. The one I can identify the most from the show with is the GMC, but my favorite was the 67 F-350 since I grew up with a Bumpside (still like them too, as they're definitely not as often seen as the GM trucks of the same era)Until recently I never knew about the X Files destroying the last GMC truck, was certainly sad to see it's fate, but I'm somewhat surprised it was still around to that point….too bad a Dukes collector couldn't have discovered and saved it somehow…..ah well, it lives on in film at least.

William Vanderburg

If I'm not mistaken, one of the blue, white, red trucks was used in an episode of Remington Steele

Daniel Sweeney

I never noticed the unit 2 on the door. Not to mention Cooter having so many trucks. While watching I did notice the yellow truck did not have unit 2 on it.

HarleyfanakaCrow

How Roscoe and Boss never got their ass beat from the shenanigans they pulled is mind boggling 😂😂😂

Frizzell Racing

I’ve read that some of the episodes where actually filmed in a different order than they actually aired them. If that’s true that would explain why some of them seemed to switch out and back on the trucks

michael king

i can't speak to year of the brown truck itself, but the entire grille and headlight assembly is 1967 (denoted by the turn signals in the center horizontal bar).

MrJeep75

14:27 is a chevy look at the grill

Richard Unicorn

I'm so glad you talked about the yellow Ford towtruck! I don't know why it stuck in my memory but it has. I actually think of it first, before the '67 Ford.

Patrick DeSantis

From Michigan. Met you in Gatlinburg last May.

RECYCLED HOOLIGAN🛵💣

I always thought that the Clint Eastwood movies.any which way you can or any which way but loose.had cooter’s tow truck in one of those movies.

Tim Burns

Hey I thoroughly enjoyed this video thank you

Chev500 L

A lot of the movie prop cars were recycled to other shows, as you mentioned, when they were beyond any use, the junk man got them in the end

Interesting information about the tow trucks. According to the research that Kibbe and friends co-host corndog did. The Dukes of Hazzard production leased the tow trucks when they would start a season, and returned them when they went on break.

Matthew Drake

Great vid and great channel. I hope you don’t mind me asking on here… Can any Dukes fans help me out searching for a particular episode??… i was born in ‘79 and have many memories growing up watching the Duke boys!.. there’s a particular episode I remember, we’re talking 35 years since i saw it.. the duke boys are driving and have some sort of incident with another car – both cars stop and the duke boys get out of the car, but the two ‘baddies’ stay in the car. One of them tells the duke boys to ‘get back in their car’ when the dukes refuse, one of them gets out, and is extremely tall!.. a bit taken aback, the duke boys get back in the car and drive away. That’s all I remember. I don’t know why that particular episode/scene has stuck in my mind for so long but I’ve been searching for that episode for 10+ years.. no joy. Any ideas?

Noneckjoe

Damn chunkey!!! You do some great investigative work! And make it a blast to watch…. Thanks

J223

Great video! I really enjoyed it. Thanks for the shout out for my Junkyard page. Happy to help if you ever want to cover some more Dukes vehicles.

I just learned that John Schneider's wife, Alicia has passed away. I don't know any details, but one thing I do know is that John would appreciate the privacy at this time. John, I'm so sorry to hear about this. I am praying for you. I spoke quite a bit with Alicia at Bo's and also at Hazzard Fest as well. She was very sweet to me and always struck me as someone who was so smart with a big heart, strong head, and just a rockstar overall. John, stay strong through this hard time, and try to take comfort in knowing that your Smile is no longer suffering, and she has found peace. As for us in Hazzard Nation, may we come together and put differences aside to pray for John and Alicia's family through this hard time, while also respecting their privacy. God bless. Much love to you John, Alicia will be greatly missed. ❤🙏
