that creature that you was making girly nopises over looks like the cousin to humans, called the sea squirt. but tthats impossible as thye live in the sea, unless that creek is near the sea, if its tidal then there have been sea swquirts found in tidal rivers where the sea wter comes up and mixes with the fresh. just had a goggle and it could be a Bryozoan
