It's due to body flex due to body weight. There is a max seat weight of 400lbs anything more and this happens

Jeremy Rios

Yes

Gabe Roundy

Yes put some right stuff under it never did it again

Gears'n'stuff

I would say that the trim on my old Ford stays on better than that, but some clown went and stole it all. That said, the bit that is still there is pretty dang sturdy for being on a truck for 70 odd years

Greg Maraugha

first of all it's a Ford second there's no gas in it

Chad King

Nothing a self tapper can't fix

Dansk

Built Ford tough

zeno15STI

😬yeah no way am i taking out the window

A M

Somebody replaced the molding without pulling the glass, they cut the hole so they could slide it underneath the rivet, I've done it before but you have to put a little bit of glue as well

Rick McDonald

Get out your Hot Glue Gun and bingo it's fixed.

Limitless RD

I had that happen on two trucks one on the left and one on the right

Chris Morrow

17 bought new, no problem

Robert Gonzalez

Where living in a day and age were there Is less quality and even more less accountability

sweethands

Glue it

Jay

Put a tube of sealant in the groove and seal it all down for life.

Doc Mac

Gonna say cause it’s a Ford

franikk

I have had this happen on my 2019. I think its BS just like Fords Crappy Radios!

Skywatchers

Reminds me of the crack on the back of every explorer. Now it’s flapping trim.

Austin Burns

Mine broke then a hailstorm came through so its fixed now

Kirk Barber

2020+ ford trucks seem to having a lot of issues. Might be a chip vs employee issue

Havel Thebonk

I got a 63 scout sitting outside cause if I'm paying g 100,000 for a truck it's not going to be these new pos plastic junk

jw11432

This is why I'm sticking with 20 year old vehicles.

Ryan Bentz

Rivet needs to be 7 millimeetes moved up and problem will be fixed for the life of the truck until wrecked or hit with a tree

santiago avila

Bro yep I work on a custom shop and they did a color match on those and let’s just say we just slid them on 😂

Tim Neufeld

I see what’s really wrong here. It’s so obvious most people miss it. In fact, most people don’t even realize they are the cause of this problem. The problem is that truck costs $80,000.
Trucks are for physical work not getting executives to the office. If more people told salespeople they are looking for a work truck, not a Cadillac, they might get cheaper. There’s a sucker born everyday.

john laskero

That trim is broken replace it
Hole is ripped out

Pearl Drummer

$80,000 for a truck is ridiculous, and a direct result of keeping up with the Jones’s. Stop buying for a while and watch the prices tumble down.

A.F. MacLeod.Jr_038

Ford has that issue forever. My 2002 F350 7.3 has two trim pieces like that on the back of th cab that constantly fall off. Two sided tape!

James Hilton

Epoxy for the win 🏆! Having to remove the back window just to re-rivet a piece of trim? Me thinketh, no way in hell! Black epoxy to the rescue!!!

AnAZPatriot

Derp. Heat/cold expansion is greater in aluminum and copper than it is in steel. Just a guess.
