My first snowy hiking and wild camping trip was absolutely beautiful! The circular summit route of the mountain that I had planned was overly ambitious for me and I didn’t end up getting very far, but none-the-less, this trip was one of the best things I’ve ever done 🙂

That’s the worst thing about warm weather snow, how it balls up on your spikes. You should see it on snowshoes!
When it's sub zero your boots will freeze due to the moisture from your sweat. If you get a drybag you can dump them into the bottom of your sleeping bag so they are good to go in the morning. Another great video Claire!

It’s being afraid that keeps you alive Claire. Yes, by all means push the boundaries, but at the same time acknowledging your fears and limitations is what’s most important. No point continuing to climb higher, there was nothing to gain from it, so for me, you made the logical and correct decision.
