Keep driving it thru their heads Scotty. Especially buy better quality stuff. The junk fills the the dumps, makes Chinese shysters rich, and makes you poorer.

You cannot guarantee that if the oil is high on the dipstick that .. anything. You can't make any conclusions from just that. My cars have always tempted people to just finish off the last quart, leaving it high. It's been fine in my past cars but I can't see the future. On the matter of air intake, Why would any manufacturer put the air intake low on the car? That makes no sense. Just asking for trouble. I just bought an old Outback and I don't know any of the particulars. Ooh that's dangerous. I'd better get everything checked out.

I love this guy. I love how he shows things done correctly, even if it's as simple as an oil change.

Thank you for your service and knowledge of cars. I want to buy a car but not sure which car is the best one to buy. It would be my first car to buy. And you are amazing God bless 🙏🌹

I change my Powerstroke Turbo Diesel every 5000 miles despite their recommended 7500 – 10K miles.

It takes 3 Gallons per change…

I was trying hard to fix my car for a long time.. I started moving my arms in a repeatedly circular motion to put extra mmph onto the end of everything I say.. and would ya know it.. my car fixed itself

Scotty, I worked on a tree crew for a county in MD. The boss's truck was a Dodge crew cab pickup, and every morning and afternoon the truck would pick up and drop off fellow workers. I would use the Dodge, which was high mileage to get lunch for the guys on my crew. The front end would pop and crack when turns were made— it was a bad sound, and I said that the front end needed serious work. I was told that I didn't know what I was talking about. Well, one afternoon going home that truck, with about 5 riders, was crossing railroad tracks, and right then, both front wheels came unmoored from the linkage and wound up laying flat on the road. The front end was totally shot due to high mileage, and no remediation measures being taken. Had a train come along right at that time, people could have been hurt or killed; not to mention later on the trip, they would've hit 65-70 mph on I-270.

The metal oil wrenches will break much easier than the latest, strong plastic ones. I know because, as a tool sales/service person for over 30 years, I've seen it happen many times.
