A Toyota Master Diagnostic Technician shares some Toyota Tacoma Common Problems from 2005-2015 and shows a very well preserved frame in the rust belt.
In this video we have a beautiful 2008 Toyota Tacoma Manual. I’ll share with you a well preserved frame that was sprayed with fluid film from a very early age by the car care nut owner.
Also in this video I’ll share with you some of the 2nd generation Tacoma Common Problems that you should know about if you own one or plan to buy one.
The 2nd generation tacoma is a very good truck if the frame is not rusted. very DIY friendly and very well made.

Do you recommend rust proofing hybrids? I have a 2022 venza hybrid limited, i'm considering rust proofing as the winter in Ontario, Canada is bad a times. Dealership is pretty high compared to Knrown for $150 cad.
May God bless you too man, thank you for sharing your knowledge 👍🏼
I "got" to learn how to drive manual on a tacoma – my dad and I were at the races, a few beers and few hours later: "You're driving us home!!" as he tossed me the keys. One of my best memories!!
2023 Corolla Cross Hybrid AWD – I read that it has 194HP (2.0L Gas engine + front axle + rear axle electric motors). Is the full 194HP available all the time, or does the computer engage the front and rear electric motors automatically (sequentially?) when needed? If I accelerate hard, for example, will I have the full 194HP engaged. Love the new shop – congratulations – just sorry I am a bit far away in Australia.
My rav4 shocks and struts are completely gone. I ordered new ones from east coast they are coming but will take time.
I feel everything on road, every rock, every bump.
Whenever I speed up or speed on while going on hill, my car engine light blinks, I don’t know why?
It only happens when I speed up or car goes through bump.
There’s no engine light on
What’s going on with car?
Please help
My first Toyota is a 1992 2×4 22RE 4 cylinder 5 speed manual transmission. Still on the road ……
I thought you could identify a LSD by rotating the wheels while it's off the ground
idk what to do i have a 2003 camry 4 cylinder and the oil filter is in a place where there is absolutely NO room to work and this filter is so stuck that the flute will not break it loose it just slips, trying to get it off now the filter has a hole and wont hold oil, so now i cant even run the car. screw toyota for putting that filter where they put it cause i cant get any wrenches on it.
👊
Every Toyota owner should watch this man.
Hello everybody! I’m new to this channel and I absolutely love it. I need to ask: does anyone have any ideas of where can I find the 3rd gen Taco Factory/Service/Workshop (however is called) manual??? If anyone has any suggestions I would really appreciate it. Wish you all a great day! Thanks 😊
This makes me miss my 2005 Taco Access cab TRD 4X4…she was also silver, my silver bullet Taco!! No issues for 10-years and I didn’t even know I didn’t have Iridium plugs!! I traded her for a 2014 Tundra TRD 4X4 in 2015 to pull a bigger camper.
I'm in Virginia. Own a 2019 trd pro tacoma. Just had the undercarriage coated last month.
Thank you. I love your videos. It would be nice to make them a bit quicker in pace. The intro is too long. Keep up the good work otherwise
Here is a question to the Toyota Master, If one has an A25AFKS engine (camry for example), other than changing the oil every 5000 miles, and transmission fluid every 30,000 miles, what other maintenance do you recommend for it as you get higher mileage? I have 75,000 and am wondering if it is necessary to get the valves cleaned for example. Any little tidbits for longevity would be much appreciated.
I’ve been coating my Tundra frame in Fluid Film once a year and having great results.
This Toyota owner loves this channel, Thank you sir!!!!
I would recommend an undermount spare tire cover. You can DIY it if you wish.
I have over 176,000 miles on my 2013 Tacoma. My only complaint is that the driver's side leaf spring squeaks.
good info, thank you!
I love my 2009 DC Sport Taco. They are so much fun to drive, and more reliable than any I have ever owned before.
Why in 2022 would anyone want a manual trans vehicle? Thanks again for your videos. I always enjoy your content. Because of you , I bought a 2021 Tacoma from Carmax last year. Has the SX package 4wd and the awesome 4cyl engine.
Reminds me I need to go do a coolant change on mine.
My 2007 4 runner did tear cv boots due to sway bar link coming apart…
Your videos never skipped !
I'm 75. My wife and I learned on manual transmission cars. Also both our children learned to drive with manual transmissions. We only have four grandchildren and only two are old enough to drive. One of them drives a manual. The other, I don't think so.
Amen on the TC issue.
I had a 2007 Tacoma. Fantastic truck!
[From the UK, August 2022] What a fantastic walk-through buddy! I have a 'Prado' (1KD-FTV) – & much of this applies to me. As it happens – I've gone over most of the underside with Fluid Film (learnt about it from your side of the pond!). 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Hey man – I came over here to ask your opinion. I just got my first 5k service in my Corolla hybrid. They did not change the oil… Is this ok or should I go back and request an oil change???
I drive a 2009 Toyota Tacoma reg cab 290k miles 2.7
Good video
How to take care to prevent rust?
probably goes through valve cover gaskets whne the dealers put 5 quarts in at an oil change and when it suppose to take 4.6 – cannot tell how many mechanics tell me 5 quarts on my camry when it is suppose to take 4.6
