Che spettacolo! Un mastodonte da Carrera Panamericana, interessante vederla in gara con le "piccole" .
They did very well in the early Carrera PanAmericana ( 1950-54) road races. With almost unbelievable high average speeds. All that with only 2 speed autos, drum brakes and balls of steel. Respect!
It might be the most ill handling car seen at Goodwood
Two gallons a lap!!!
It is certainly an ungainly and wobbly behemoth, but showing that one little clip three times wasn't necessarily warranted. This whole thing was honestly not worth watching.
Didn’t they race these in early NASCAR?
Need to put CF numbers on the front quarter panels. And passengers need flotation devices .
One big classic amongst a sea of forgettable shoe boxes.
20% car. 80% driver!
Where does a "two-speed automatic" come from? An early Cadillac should have a Hydramatic trans – a 4-speed non-torque converter automatic. Powerglide two-speed automatics were for Chevies.
And we think the Galaxie 500 is a Yank Tank…….
An old Caddie. Awesome. Something different. Lovely old American iron. A real classic.
As a kid in the 50s I was enamoured with American cars and loved my Dinky Toy pink Cadillac Eldorado, to me it was a space ship compared to theAustin A40 Devon and other British models and in my mind’s eye an obvious race winner. Obviously childhood perceptions differ to reality.
Love seeing the land yachts mix it up with the tiny British cars
Is this car on Assetto Corsa? Love to take a turn at the wheel!
The suspension seems to need a little work. Otherwise, it really floats my boat!
Floating an aircraft carrier in a hobycat race. A couple of these were impressive in Dave Gilmour/Nick Mason Pan American show.
It's faster on the straights and too wide to pass in the turns.
Lord March will do anything to appeal to Blue Collar Americans…
Yeah, and the Cadillac is much nicer to drive IN too. American post-war cars are like chariots. Euro post-war cars likened to the stockade with wheels then added.
What a joke
1st class entertainment🏆
This Cadillac is like the Ford Galaxy that was at the revival, but is heavier. The large engine makes it go well, and after you learn to drive it, is just fine.
Obviously, the owner has the right tyres, so it goes safely, and competitively.
Turn-in time measured in minutes! Lovely machine and respect for giving it all the beans.
Where else but Goodwood?
Long live Goodwood!
This Cadillac belongs to the Revs Institute (Collier Collection) and lives two blocks from me in Naples, Florida.
What a thicc beauty.
someone brought a battleship in a speed boat event
Weirdest car No
Best looking car Yes
Big ol' girl can move! 💪
It may not be the fastest around the track but I guarantee that the driver is the most comfortable.😁
Ha, no one can pass it as it is all over road like a drunk sailor
