Fire is critical when camping, especially when in a frozen forest. Tonight, I am testing out a wood stove that was made in Minnesota. The stove is smaller than my regular stove, and it’s way lighter. I am using it in a canvas tent in absolutely freezing conditions to see what it’s made of. Will it battle the cold? Will it stay hot? Will it backdraft or cause problems? I will be sleeping next to the new wood stove to get a really good feel for it.
I am also very busy gathering wood for the rest of the winter, and I am feeding myself with hardy meals along the way.
Join me for a night in the hot tent in Canada’s far northern frozen forest

Hey everyone! Testing out a handmade American stove tonight! It doesn't replace my main stove.
The stove is $489.99! Dude, that's not cheap!

i cannot think of a colder inhabited place other than Siberia, haha. really jealous of your bear tent too. keep it up.
New here. About to show HOW new…question: why the half wood, half canvas structure?

Well done! Love you’re videos, keep them coming Jay.
Hi! You’re a Great Guy with Very Good Videos. I’m really enjoying them. And hey, guess what? You’re the second person this week who’s enjoyed Spam on video. Hawaiian peeps go crazy over it! True Fact! Spam is made by Hormel Foods based here in Minnesota. It’s been produced since here since 1937. I hope You have a Happy New Year! 🎆
Always a pleasure to watch your content, and as always the interpretation is on point, not to much talk, or less when it's needed to show us the true ambience of the place indoors and outdoors, the stove is the best part if u ask me ! Cheers, and good luck in your endeavours!
Thanks for another great video! The scenery is beautiful and your vids are so relaxing to watch. Do you still have plans to move to the other site in the future?
Fried potatoes in onions from a cast iron skillet. If I was on death row, that would be my last meal.
😊❤🍿
Merry Christmas to you and your family Jay …🌲🌲
So your one of the kind hand made BS, unsafe stove finally out??!! Thanks to your mom’s boyfriend who almost killed you with his self made stove!!!
Hi Jay, it has been quite awhile since I watched your channel, I'm just not into the electronic camping but, I'm glad I checked in because, I just bought the same exact stove from the same company and this stove has proven to be a winner. It heats my 12'x30' cabin very well and we are having -38F to -40F temps and my cabin is cozy. Taker easy.
and sometimes the luggable lou makes a nice chair or table right Jay lol
I like French fried onions on my Tuna casserole.
🙏Hi my outdoor friends I have a New video on bible prophecy and the end times. Please go to Papa Joe Fortner or shockwaves of the end times or The watchmen series with papa joe. Thank you and God bless you 🙏
Another great video, thanks for putting them out. I can live out my dream of living like that tree you.
4:41, May I know what is that snow covered bare area, without any tree? River? Lake? Or just literally a bare field?
We slice it the big way and fry it and put American cheese on it. Have it in bread with mustard .
You need a bucksaw, Chainsaw to cut down the tree and a bucksaw to buck it up, it would save on the battery.
Merry Christmas Jay to you and your family.
Another awesome trip, thanks for sharing it with us Jay!
Very nice video Jay !! Was very pleasant to watch. You are so right about breathing very cold air when sleeping. Few years ago I had a well insulated camp with a big stove near my bed and it was to warm most of the night, so i installed a 4 inch abs drain pipe right through the wall so i could breath -30 c air directly from outside while enjoying the heat from the stove. Just awesome !!!
subscribed today, it's fun to watch
Discovered your channel tonight, great content! You have a new subscriber! Greetings from the Netherlands
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year 2023!!!
I enjoy your videos, but, SPAM?!
I wanted a spam tin to hold pens on my desk, so, I bought a tin thinking to eat the contents to gain a tin. I was saved though when I offered a slice to my basset hound (2nd best scent dog in the world).
She eagerly sniffed the product, then went into a full snarl, backed away as fast as she could, and almost ran from the room. I took her advice and threw away the 'meat'.
I still have the tin though.
Have you ever made Spam fried rice? It’s one of my favorites and would be a great camp meal. Happy to share a recipe as well, the seasoning is what a makes a good one vs boring 🤗
The tuna casserole also hits those nostalgic notes for me too. Have you tried the camp oven on top of the woodstove?
Jay Legere …. "The Canned Meat Maniac" !!!!!!!!! lol
Great videos throughout the year Jay.Have a good Christmas.
Another great video. Not a spam fan but I do like can Treat. It’s usually right there by the spam. I ate tuna casseroles in my early days growing up. Lots of memories. Have a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year. Stay safe and catch you on the next awesome video.
