Also whatever happened to the Tata's supremacy in 4×4? Where are they guys that made Telcoline, Safari, Sumo, Xenon 4x4s? A tiger turned into a cat hiding with tail between its legs. While India is waking up to the whole lifestyle 4x4s, where is the manufacturer that brought in OG lifestyle vehicles even before it was a thing in our country? Tata has come a long looooong way in terms of reliability, build quality, longevity. It should have brought back the OG SUVs, not come reskinned monocoque psuedo SUVs 😒
Yes, the world is moving to EVs. But that wont happen overnight, definitely not in India. Tata had the expertise, they had even the LR tech at their disposal, but they just didn't bother when there still was time. What a waste!
Just curious, was this shot before the 31st? Aren't the new BS6 phase 2 norms coming this year and not next year? So facelift or not the Harrier/Safari engine will need update this year itself no?
Also so many concepts, I just hope some that are shown are almost close to production. One website carried out a news article that Tata should bring back the Nano in EV form and whole internet lost their ECUs. A wishful thinking became concrete news. Tata folks probably were scratching their. well.. heads as to how this all started. Power of WhatsApp university graduates running the show I guess.
TBH though Tata SHOULD have brought in the Nano (duly updated, ofcourse) in the EV form before they brought out Tigor/Tiago. A city friendly hatch doesn't need BIG range numbers, make EVs accessible to a larger demographic. I seriously they wish they do. An updated Tata Pixel perhaps? And hopefully in production ready form and not a concept.

Tata should come ip with its altroz based sedan in EV with a real world range of 500 kms plus with an aggressive pricing soon.
Tata has lot to catch up in the engines department. They also need to focus on introducing all engines and gear box combinations from day 1 and not by the time the car is at the end of life. They can outsource petrol engines from M&M.
