Winter Camping by SNOWMOBILE!!! | Into The Backcountry

The Ski-Doo takes us well into the woods for an adventure. After the snowmobiles do all the towing through the mountains, the sleds get a rest. Setting up a bush-craft camp, building a survival shelter, and more adventure in store with the sleds. The Yamaha Phazer and the Ski-Doo Alpine both do their jobs!

Have you thought of trying a snow bike ski on that beauty?

Mahdi Duris

12:15 that’s its proper name: a unit for sure!
Great to see an antique in action.

sayitaintso

I haven't seen that much slop in steering since my steering box broke on my 1974 torino lmao!!!

Marco De Minico

Fantastic. My school had an alpine in the 80s pulling some weighted track for cross country skiing

Aviationphd

Love it, reminds me of what I used to do wayback when…going camping with my elan and a fold-a-sled. This video is a nice change from the usual brand new mountain sleds ripping around

ZachAP

Hell yeah man! Keepin the old iron alive! I believe back in the day you could get an alpine with a 640 as well. I know Ski-Doo also made a even bigger 775 free air twin! Not sure if those came in alpines or not. Good job on the rebuild and keep the good vids comin man!

Lyn W

Need to find some pow to try it in. You going to put a windshield on it?

Daniel Trottier

Well done.

Hike 2

Reminds me of the sleds I grew up on, love it!

James Janzen

It’s not a clutch cover it’s a belt Guard if the belt blew up it wouldn’t demolish your leg

Bergur Palsson

Love the old sled way of backgountry traveling. These are gems if well restored/"reliable". Keep it coming Matt!

Mike.

Awesome video 😎👍

Cory Ernewein

Lovin' the old sled content, that twin track is a real beauty. Similar hood to my moms old Olympique 400.

kerwyn thomas

Maybe stick a carbide on the ski Matt.😂😂

432 for a better time

Where did u pick up that caboose toboggan ? I’ve been looking for one like that for work. Thank you in advance.

Jamie Bouchard

My grandfather had the same double track. Had “MOOSE” pinstriped just below the gas cap. It also had a 540cc motor and at the time, it was literally one of the fastest sleds on the lake. I’ve got a lot of numbers rolling around in my head, but I’m near certain it was gunned at 81-82 or 83mph across chamberlain lake up in Maine. Sure wish I could find it to buy back. It was way back in the early/mid 80’s. Maybe 1984-85ish.

Were pullin out the ole iron, saddle up boys! Lets go
