What Haas's 'massive rework' tells us about Ferrari's 2023 F1 car

The Haas VF-23 has been characterised by the team as a “massive rework”. And for good reason, given if you look closely there are some very telling changes that reveal key aspects of the design concept.
The 2023 Haas broke cover during a shakedown on a filming day at Silverstone on Saturday for 100 kilometres of running.
Through its technical partnership with Ferrari, Haas uses a huge number of latest-specification Ferrari parts. While it has to design key aspects of the car itself – such as the aerodynamic surfaces, the monocoque and the front impact structure – it can use Ferrari-designed transferable components.
That means the Haas VF-23 can also give us a few potential clues about what to expect from the new Ferrari SF-23 when it is launched.

What the bloody hell are Klommerterz. You would think English speakers would pronounce the word correctly at least once occasionally just by accident but they don't. 🤬🤬

Ivor Hardy

It would be nice if Haas won a race this year.

Bobby Nofsinger

I, as an actual Haas fan, can’t wait for the day Haas can start designing more parts in house

If focus is on weight..an how much paint costs..then I feel.zomething needs to be done about this..don't wanna see a bunch of black cars racing ??

end.

This team is so weird and I love them. It's like Vijay's Force India on crack.

An American registered team, based in the UK, with their tech department in Italy. Scrappy but punching way above their weight (tho it's been rough the last few years). And have probably the most eccentric figurehead in the sport. And that pioneer spirit.

I will always be a Williams+McLaren fan, but I love seeing Haas doing their thing.

Slinky511nx7

Please stop calling them Hassssssss. Their name is HAAS

Real

This isn't an American team anymore. Cars designed in Maranello. Run by an Italian. Based in the UK. Literally just gets it's money from an American, that's it.

What a sham this has turned out to be.

F1 Gazette

Does HAAS still have a special relationship with Ferrari? Maybe it will be a satellite team of Ferrari …

Alex E

How come after years the Brits still can’t pronounce haas correctly

Alvaro Garavito
