Ep1 Cinematic Camping & A 4×4 Adventure, Offroad In The Cederberg: Kagga Kamma ROAM Overlanding

The next chapter of our adventure begins! Andy and I head out into the Western Cape in the Toyota Hilux for a Solo vehicle Overlanding Adventure in search of some of South Africa’s top Overlanding, 4×4 and Camping Destinations! First up is Kagga Kamma in the Cederberg! We test our newly installed Terrain Tamer Pro Shock suspension on the gravel roads too our campsite at the Klipspringer Boma Camp in Kagga Kamma. We have a lovely evening as the sun sets over the cederberg and we rest up for a big day of 4x4ing on the offroad trails the next day! With water erosion washing away most of the roads, we were sure to have some great action as we flex the suspension over some rocky sections and enjoy incredible scenery all around!

Great to see some real 4X4ing again!

DesertRat312

Have you changed your navigation system?

Hans Christian Holst

I really like the place you go, and you are a great guy, and i dont mind seeing who is making the program, but I tend to give up after watching a while as it is not really you we want to see, but the place you go 😬 Maybe just throw that selfie stick in the next river you cross and we will watch all the way through. 😊 Keep going!!

Robin Billings

You should probably consider retro fitting a front forwarding camera to get a clearer view of the path ahead. That blind spot over the bonnet especially over steep mounts. Love your work Andy….👍

Hi if you don’t mind answering. Who helps you film videos?

These camp sights should pay you for advertising their facilities

Brandon Pettit

Great video Adrian, can’t wait to see Andy out in his own rig…

Craig Fenton

Hi Adrian, Kagga Kamma is pretty high up on my bucket list! Can you get to the first campsite (Klipspringer) with a 4×2 Hilux with difflock?

Chris

Beer … even if it is craft beer … is too much of a heft carrying along. Rather do what most Saffas are doing and just drink brandy "und" coke … the logistics are much more energy efficient.

The worlds favourite overlanding channel

Andy should look into stretcher tents (like the ones from OzTent & OzTrail). This, and a self-inflating mattress are better suited than a ground tent on hard and uneven grounds. Plus a stretcher tent, packs a lot smaller (diameter wise) than traditional swags. But he probably won't have a tent problem soon, when his Isuzu is ready. But if he still wants to 4WD camp using a tent, I highly recommend a stretcher tent. Till the next one.👍

Another pleasant episode. So relaxing to watch. Is it always windy in the Kagga Kamma area? Or is it a seasonal thing?

Cool Can You Do a REVIEW on the Drawer System and the Fridge

Jordan Freddie

My current favourite overlanding channel. Keep up the good work

Shaun McCarthy

Swag and a stretcher might have been useful for Andy, but I guess no saying even it could be positioned well enough in really rocky terrain. I know swags are an Australian thing, but it baffles me if the market for them doesn’t exist offshore.
